Embark Studios is Developing Two More Games, One of Which is ‘Edgy’

ARC Raiders is launching soon, bringing a new extraction shooter to players. This follows the release of The Finals, Embark Studios’ first game – a fast-paced, first-person shooter known for its destructible environments.

Embark Studios has more projects in the works even after the release of ARC Raiders. CEO Patrick Soderlund recently revealed the team is developing two new games, with one being significantly grittier and more intense than their previous titles, ARC Raiders and The Finals.

But The Other is More Conventional

Embark’s CEO, Patrick Soderlund, recently spoke with The Game Business about the studio’s progress, the launch of ARC Raiders, and future plans. During the interview, he was asked about other games currently in development.

These projects are still in the initial planning phases, but two of them are starting to come together. When asked if these are all online games, Soderlund clarified:

I believe it’s just part of who we are as a company. However, that doesn’t mean we’re making typical online games like The Finals or ARC Raiders. We’re actually working on a concept that’s much more intense and challenging than those titles.

The other one maybe is a little bit more conventional.

Embark Studios has been steadily growing and improving, and their upcoming game, ARC Raiders, shows off all their hard work. Based on early interest, it looks like ARC Raiders could be the most exciting and highly anticipated extraction shooter game ever created.

The extraction game genre has become incredibly popular lately, boosted by the huge success of the game Escape from Duckov. This parody title has already sold millions of copies in just a few weeks.
