Pokemon Legends Z-A: Skrelp Location

Players aiming to evolve a to Dragalge in Pokemon Legends: Z-A will need to progress to the post-game content, as this Pokemon isn’t found in any of the early areas.

Finding Skrelp isn’t too difficult if you know where to search. This guide will show you exactly where to find Skrelp, how to evolve it into Dragalge, and how to get the Dragalgite needed to Mega Evolve it. Here’s a quick overview.

How to Catch Skrelp in Pokemon Legends: Z-A

You can find this location in the Lumiose Sewers within Pokemon Legends: Z-A. It becomes accessible during Main Mission 19, “Reaching Rank D,” where you’ll explore the sewers to find Gwynn, Ivor’s sister and a member of the Fist of Justice.

After Main Mission 19 is over, players can get back into the Lumiose Sewers in one of two ways:

  1. Side Mission 57: The Camerupt Entrepreneur
  2. Main Mission 20: A Request from the Rust Syndicate

Side Mission 57: The Camerupt Entrepreneur

Okay, so I need to go to that spot on the map and find the trainer who has an Audino with them. Once I find them, there are stairs right next to them that will take me straight down to Herup, who’s giving out the quest. Got it!

Begin Side Mission 57 by speaking with Herup. He’ll step aside, giving you permanent access to the Lumiose Sewers, where you can locate and catch Skrelp.

Side Mission 57 becomes available once you start Main Mission 20, opening up both access points simultaneously.

Main Mission 20: A Request from the Rust Syndicate

Okay, so for this mission, Corbeau from the Rust Syndicate needs my help. I gotta head down into the Lumiose Sewers, specifically near the Saison Canal in the Magenta District, and clear out these weird Mega Shard growths. Sounds like a bit of a dirty job, but hey, gotta do what you gotta do!

This part of the Lumiose Sewers is separate from the main sewer area you unlock during Side Mission 57. If you’re trying to find a shiny Skrelp, the Saison Canal section of the Lumiose Sewers is a better place to search.

How to Evolve Skrelp into Dragalge in Pokemon Legends: Z-A

How to Get Dragalge

Skrelp evolves at level 48. You can find Skrelp around level 34-35 in the main Lumiose Sewers, and around level 39 in the Saison Canal Lumiose Sewer. To evolve your Skrelp, you’ll need to get it to level 48 by either battling, using Rare Candies, or using EXP. Candies.

Once you’ve finished Main Mission 37 and unlocked the post-game content, you can find fully evolved Dragalge swimming in the deep ocean waters.

How to Get Mega Dragalge in Pokemon Legends: Z-A

How to Get Dragalgite

To Mega Evolve Dragalge, you’ll need a Dragalgite. You can buy it at the Quasartico Mega Shard Exchange for 240 Mega Shards, but first you need to finish Main Mission 31: A Summons from Vinnie.

Once you get the Dragalgite, give it to your Dragalge to hold. Then, when its Mega Meter is full during battle, it will Mega Evolve! Mega Dragalge is a powerful Special Attacker with great defenses and a useful type, making it a valuable addition to your team.
