First Escape from Tarkov Wipe Event Is Nothing New

As a seasoned Escape from Tarkov survivor, I must say that the anticipation for the wipe event is palpable! The long wait has been excruciating, but it seems we’ve finally reached the precipice of the great reset. The sight of those concrete-lugging characters in the teaser was a clear sign – it’s time to prepare our hideouts and stock up on Pevko beers!

The initial wipe for Escape from Tarkov has commenced globally, a regular occurrence as anticipated. As with past events, additional pre-wipe activities are likely to follow. The start of this event was signaled by Battlestate Games sharing an image on social media platforms depicting in-game characters carrying concrete bags, a clear indication of the upcoming wipe.

At the initial event, players can upgrade their Hideout simply by collecting Pevko beer bottles. Furthermore, the pace at which players improve their skills is rapidly increasing, allowing them to reach maximum levels much quicker than usual, with each wipe approaching faster and faster.

Wipe Soon?

Upcoming, the next clean-slate event for Tarkov is drawing near, marking the longest stretch between such events at over 225 days. Players are undeniably weary after this extended gap. The recent months within the Escape from Tarkov realm have been turbulent. First came the controversy surrounding the launch of Tarkov Arena, followed swiftly by the unveiling of The Unheard Edition, which sent shockwaves throughout the entire community. Issues with constant cheating and instability have made it challenging to identify as a Tarkov enthusiast lately.

Now, the initial preliminary event has begun, which means it’s about to overshadow everything else. This indicates that players could be just a few days from the critical reset, known as the wipe, that refreshes everyone’s account and attracts hundreds of thousands of players back to the game. Additionally, there will be numerous updates and enhancements arriving with the 0.15 update that coincides with the wipe.

For now, players can take part in this basic event.

As a dedicated player eager to boost my Hideout swiftly, I’ve discovered the key lies in gathering Pevko beers. Luckily, any labeled ‘Boss’ enemy now guarantees their drop, making farming them a breeze. Additionally, as I traverse Norvinsk taking down these extra-tough adversaries, my skills are skyrocketing at an astonishing rate, transforming me into a veritable super soldier in the twinkling of an eye.

In Tarkov, as previously mentioned, this is the initial clean-up operation before the wipe. So, get ready for plenty more changes over the following days.
