This article contains some spoilers for the Solo Leveling series.
The anime Solo Leveling won Anime of the Year at the 2025 Crunchyroll Awards after a fantastic first season. Following the conclusion of its second season earlier this year, the show’s popularity exploded, and the Crunchyroll award was just one sign of its massive success.
Fans of Solo Leveling are eagerly awaiting Season 3, but details have been scarce. The creators haven’t given a firm release date, though recent updates have given fans clues about when it might arrive. With Jinwoo reaching Level 100, the plot of Season 3 promises to be thrilling, and anticipation is high.
Solo Leveling Season 3 Release Date Update
- The Exact Release Date Is Not Given Yet
- Staff Indicates A Release Between 2026 and 2028
Everyone is eager to find out when Season 3 of Solo Leveling will be released. Fans are wondering how much longer they’ll have to wait. After Season 1, Season 2 came out fairly quickly – just a year later. However, it looks like the gap between seasons will be longer this time around.
Producers and directors have hinted at a potential release timeframe for the next season, though they haven’t announced a specific date. Fans can likely expect it sometime between 2026 and 2028, depending on the studio’s final decision. Atsushi Kaneko suggests 2028 would be perfect, but believes the release will probably happen sooner than that.
I’m really excited for Season 3, maybe even more than anyone! It took an incredible amount of work to make Seasons 1 and 2 – over 220,000 animated frames! If I had my way, we’d wait until after the 2028 Olympics to start working on it. But ultimately, the decision about when Season 3 happens is up to Kaneko and A-1 Pictures.

Solo Leveling Season 3 Plot Update: What Fans Will See In The New Season
- Solo Leveling Season 2 Stopped at Chapter 110 of the Manhwa
- Solo Leveling Season 3 Will Likely Adapt Around 40 Chapters
Everyone’s been buzzing about what will actually happen in Solo Leveling Season 3, not just when it’s coming out. From what I understand, the story will continue directly after the events of Season 2, staying true to the original manhwa. A big focus seems to be Jinwoo going back to the double dungeon, where he’ll encounter key players and finally start uncovering the mysteries behind the System and how it came to be. We can also expect to see a lot more of the other Monarchs. Beyond that, the show will likely dive deeper into the story’s background – things like other top-level hunters from different countries, and what’s really going on with the Gates. And one thing’s for sure: Sung Jinwoo will be incredibly powerful in Season 3 of Solo Leveling.
Many fans are hoping Season 3 of Solo Leveling will have about 13 episodes and adapt around 40 chapters of the original story. If this happens, the season would likely end around chapter 148, leaving plenty of material for a potential Season 4.
There are currently 25 episodes of Solo Leveling available – twelve from the first season and thirteen from the second. You can watch both seasons on Crunchyroll. If you’re eager for more before season three arrives, the original Solo Leveling Manhwa is a great way to continue the story.
