KFC And Monster Hunter Wilds Join Forces For Finger-Lickin’ In-Game Loot

Capcom and KFC Japan are teaming up for a special Monster Hunter Wilds promotion. Beginning November 19th, KFC will offer two limited-time meals featuring unique packaging and codes that unlock exclusive items within the Monster Hunter Wilds game.

The special Monster Hunter Wilds collaboration with KFC features a Felyne companion dressed as Colonel Sanders on the packaging. Two sets are available: The Feast Set includes cooking ingredients and a Felyne charm of Colonel Sanders, while the Spice Up Set offers consumable items and a different Felyne charm shaped like a KFC barrel. If you upgrade a meal to a larger size, you’ll also receive a set of themed stickers.

To celebrate the new Monster Hunter movie, four KFC locations will be transformed to look like they’re straight out of the game. The promotion runs until December 16th. This isn’t the first time KFC has teamed up with a popular video game – they previously collaborated with Genshin Impact in China in 2021. However, that partnership ended early due to issues with COVID-19 safety rules.

Last month, Capcom partnered with McDonald’s Japan to offer special Street Fighter-themed burgers. They also released free in-game costumes for the game’s characters, designed to look like ketchup and mustard bottles.

Sales of Monster Hunter Wilds have been steadily decreasing since its release. Capcom recently reported selling only 160,000 copies in the last quarter (ending September 30, 2025), a significant drop from the 477,000 units sold in the previous quarter. Capcom president Haruhiro Tsujimoto believes the game’s sales in Japan are being affected by the high cost of the PlayStation 5, which is where most Monster Hunter Wilds players in Japan are playing.
