As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that I’m utterly thrilled about the upcoming release of Goat Simulator Remastered! The original title was a breath of fresh air when it first came out, and its absurdity and chaos have left an indelible mark on me.

At the opening night live event of Gamescom 2024, the announcement for a revamped version of “Goat Simulator” was made with an incredibly wild and exciting trailer.

As a lifelong gamer who has been following this franchise since its inception, I couldn’t be more excited to see the return of the very first title that started it all. This year, I’ll finally get to play it on my PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, and I can hardly wait! The graphics and gameplay are sure to be breathtaking, and it’s going to be a thrill to experience this classic adventure again in all its updated glory.

The forthcoming remake will encompass all the downloadable content that Coffee Stain Studios has released so far.

As someone who has spent countless hours immersed in the digital world of gaming, I can confidently say that Pilgor’s adventures, particularly the ones involving Goat MMO and GoatZ, have left a lasting impression on me. The unique blend of refined MMO gameplay with goats causing mischief in the former, and the post-apocalyptic adventure led by goats in the latter, created an experience that was not only entertaining but also memorable. These games have become a part of my gaming journey, and I eagerly await future adventures featuring our caprine companions.

As a gamer, I’m excited to share that the remastered version I’ll be playing also brings along content previously only available on the mobile variant of the game. This special content includes the GoatVille High map, which I can’t wait to explore!

In line with what one would anticipate from a remastered edition, the upgraded 2014 version will include improved graphics, updated lighting effects, and an exciting new feature: the option to switch between different goats for gameplay without needing to restart the entire game. This was a recurring point of frustration among players in the original release.

Luckily, you’ll have the option to instantly switch among the goats in the updated version, all while enjoying a peaceful setting filled with goat-related chaos and destruction.

The announcement comes a month after Goat Simulator 3’s Multiverse of Nonsense DLC, which is another chaotic DLC drenched in Goat Simulator-style absurdity.

Goat Simulator Remastered Trailer Is Simply Insane

The epic trailer that unveiled the upcoming remaster made numerous references to some of the industry’s most influential titles.

The showcase video harmoniously echoes the lighthearted and witty style characteristic of the Goat Simulator series, incorporating elements such as figures reminiscent of PlayStation 1-style graphics and allusions to Skyrim’s numerous versions launched throughout the past decade.

If you haven’t been following the Goat Simulator series closely, it might be challenging for you to identify that this is the trailer for Goat Simulator Remastered. You can see it here instead.

It’s interesting to mention that there are rumors suggesting that Goat Simulator 3 could potentially be available on the Nintendo Switch, as an earlier Amazon listing indicated this, but has since been removed.

2014’s original game is being remastered, and there are whispers about a Switch port for the sequel. It seems like an ideal moment to jump back into the world of Goat Simulator and assume the role of Pilgor, the notorious series hero.

Goat Simulator Remastered is set to land on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in 2024.
