The Epic Games Store now lets you gift games to friends, just in time for the holidays! This is a feature many players asked for, and it’s launching at the perfect moment.
The Epic Games Store, which launched in 2018, is a competitor to Steam and features popular games like Battlefield 6, ARC Raiders, and Fortnite. While Steam allowed users to gift games to each other, the Epic Games Store hadn’t offered this feature – until now! Just in time for the holidays, you can finally gift games to your friends on the Epic Games Store.
Gifting Now Available to Users on Epic Games Store
Epic Games Store now lets you gift games! To do it, select the game you want to give, and choose the “Buy as a Gift” option. Then, pick a friend from your Epic Games list, choose whether to send it immediately or schedule it for later, and complete the purchase. The recipient has two weeks to accept the gift, and if they don’t or decline, you’ll get your money back.
You can give games as gifts, including special editions, as well as add-ons and game bundles. However, you can’t gift things like in-game money, subscriptions, free games, or pre-orders. For detailed instructions, see this guide.
