I’m loving Disney Dreamlight Valley! It’s so cool how all your favorite Disney characters have their own shops. Goofy’s the one to see for gardening supplies – he has all the seeds! And Scrooge has a shop packed with furniture and clothes. But my favorite is Remy’s restaurant – you can cook up a storm there with tons of different recipes!
With three expansions now available, the game features new worlds to explore. A helpful addition is the ability to unlock shops within these worlds, saving you trips back to the original valley. However, you’ll need to complete a few quests first. To open Scrooge’s shop, you must finish the Water Tower of Terror quest. Here’s a guide on how to do it in Dreamlight Valley.
Collect Materials to Repair the Water Tower
Once you begin the quest, find Scrooge. He’ll explain that he wants to open a shop in Wishblossom Ranch, but first needs your help repairing the Water Tower. The area needs some work, so he wants to get that fixed up before setting up his shop.
Once your conversation ends, Scrooge will lead you to the Water Tower blueprint. Just follow him to continue with the quest.
To repair the Water Tower of Terror, here are the things you need:
- 5 x Pixie Dust
- 5 x Reclaimed Barn Wood
- 5 x Silver Ore
- 5 x Pebbles
- 3 x Old Braided Rope
How to Get Pixie Dust in Dreamlight Valley
Pixie Dust is collected in a unique way. Unlike most items, you can’t find it by fishing, mining, or gathering plants. Instead, look for bright yellow bushes in the Dead Wishblossoms area. Simply ride your horse directly through these bushes to collect the Pixie Dust.
How to Get Reclaimed Barn Wood in Dreamlight Valley
Okay, so getting Reclaimed Barn Wood is super easy. You’ll find it all over the place – it looks like little brick-shaped bits on the ground. Just walk up and grab five of them, and you’re set!
How to Get Silver Ores in DDV
You can find Silver Ore by mining rocks in the Wishing Way or Wishblossom Ranch areas. It’s somewhat rare, so it might take a little while to get some. Having a friend help with mining can increase your chances of getting more.
How to Get Pebbles in DDV
You can find pebbles by digging around Wishing Way or Wishbossom Ranch. It’s not guaranteed you’ll find one every time, but you should be able to collect a good amount pretty quickly.
How to Get Old Braided Rope in DDV
You can fish up Old Braided Rope, but here’s a tip: don’t cast your line at the bubbles. Instead, cast into clear water, and that’s where you’ll find it.
After collecting all the necessary items, return to the Water Tower blueprint and activate it. Once the tower is fixed, speak with Scrooge. He’ll be pleased and will then open his shop in the new DLC area.
