Star Wars Outlaws May Be Coming to Xbox Game Pass Soon

There’s a good chance Star Wars Outlaws will soon be available to play on Xbox Game Pass. This open-world Star Wars adventure could be a fantastic addition to the service, especially considering the other great games Xbox Game Pass has added in 2025. It would be a perfect way to finish off an already strong year for the service as the holidays arrive.

Xbox Game Pass has featured several Star Wars games since it launched in 2017. Players have been able to enjoy popular titles like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Star Wars Battlefront 2, and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. While Star Wars Outlaws, developed by Massive Entertainment, was a major Ubisoft game in 2024, it wasn’t released on Game Pass. Instead, it became available to Ubisoft+ Premium subscribers on August 27, 2024, three days before its general release.

Star Wars Outlaws May Be Coming to Xbox Game Pass

Neither Microsoft nor Ubisoft has officially announced that Star Wars Outlaws will be added to Game Pass. However, a Reddit user sparked speculation after buying the game with a product key and noticing that Star Wars Outlaws DLC appeared to be already owned in their account. When they contacted Ubisoft Support, they were told the DLC was showing as owned due to Game Pass availability, but couldn’t be accessed because they only owned the base game.

There were a couple of issues with that response. First, Star Wars Outlaws has never been available on Game Pass, nor has any of its season pass or downloadable content. Second, if the DLC had been included with Game Pass, subscribers should have been able to access it, but they couldn’t. Because of this, many people – including the person who first noticed this glitch – believe Xbox Game Pass might be adding Star Wars Outlaws soon.

It’s currently unknown if Game Pass members will have access to only the main Star Wars Outlaws game, or if they’ll also get the extra content added after its release. These additions include two story packs: “Wild Card” and “A Pirate’s Fortune.” “Wild Card” introduced Lando Calrissian, allowing players to meet him and stop an Imperial plan involving a dangerous gas attack. More recently, “A Pirate’s Fortune” let players team up with Hondo Ohnaka from The Clone Wars to steal treasure from a group of raiders.

It’s not surprising to hear rumors about Ubisoft games coming to Xbox Game Pass. Microsoft recently increased the price of Game Pass Ultimate by $10 a month – a 50% jump – but sweetened the deal by adding 48 new games, thanks to a partnership with Ubisoft+. This partnership already brought popular titles like several Assassin’s Creed games to the service, so the idea of another big Ubisoft release joining Game Pass in 2024 feels quite plausible.
