Episode 1153 of One Piece concluded the exciting events on Egghead Island. While the episode was full of highlights, the confrontation between Emet, a massive robot, and the Five Elders – the highest leaders of the World Government – was particularly impactful. The robot bravely challenged their authority and performed remarkably well.

Despite their previous failure to block Vegapunk’s message from spreading throughout the world, the Five Elders relentlessly pursued stopping its full transmission. Their focus shifted to damage control, and after multiple tries, they finally managed to prevent Vegapunk from revealing all the details.

Emet Used Joyboy’s Haki To Stop The Five Elders

I watched as Topman Warcury really did a number on Emet, damaging the left side of his body badly. It forced Emet to finally use the secret weapon he’d been hiding. Everyone had been guessing what it could be for weeks, and we finally found out in Episode 1153. Turns out, the weapon was surprisingly simple: a rope with a knot in it, but it held something incredible – Joyboy’s strongest Haki.

Joyboy clearly left his powerful Conqueror’s Haki inside the knot to assist Emet, instructing him to only use it when someone nearby was threatened. When Emet unlocked the knot, a surge of this Haki was released, instantly knocking out all nearby low-ranking Marines and even impacting the Vice Admirals on the warships.

Joyboy’s Haki Scared Imu

When the powerful Haki was unleashed, the Five Elders were forced back into their original human bodies, losing their Yokai transformations. All of them were sent back to Marijoa except for Marcus Mars and Jaygarcia Saturn. Marcus Mars had already returned, and Saturn was still on Egghead Island. This display of Haki was so strong that even Imu felt it and reacted with fury, suggesting Imu either battled Joyboy in the past or witnessed his incredible power firsthand.

With most of the Five Elders returning to Marijoa, the intense battle on Egghead Island has ended, allowing the Straw Hat crew to set sail for Elbaf. While the heroes fought hard to prevent the Five Elders from destroying Vegapunk’s satellites, they weren’t able to save all of them, with only Lilith remaining protected. However, they did succeed in preventing Vegapunk from falling into the wrong hands.

Episode 1154 of One Piece will finally reveal Vegapunk’s master plan. It’s clear he anticipated York’s treachery and the World Government’s attack, which is why he secretly hid a transponder snail inside the Iron Giant. Vegapunk knew his life was at risk and the World Government would try to stop him, so he took extra precautions to keep his plans hidden from York, including concealing the snail within Emet.

Vegapunk Wasn’t Afraid To Die

Vegapunk understood what the World Government was planning, but he wasn’t afraid and refused to give up his work. He’d intentionally programmed a broadcast to activate upon his death. He was willing to sacrifice himself to reveal the truth about the world, hoping people could learn what was happening and decide for themselves.

Vegapunk managed to reveal secrets about the past that the World Government had been trying to hide. She showed that hundreds of years ago, sea levels suddenly rose, flooding most of the world. The few remaining people survived on the land that hadn’t been submerged.
