The new LEGO Toy Store set (number 4002025) is a charming way to celebrate the holidays for LEGO fans, but it’s extremely rare. It’s this year’s gift exclusively for LEGO employees, so only a very limited number of sets will be available to the public.
Since 2008, LEGO has given its employees a special LEGO set each year, usually as a holiday gift. Many of these employee gifts have a festive theme. For example, the 2013 set was called “A LEGO Christmas Tale” and included miniature scenes from Santa’s workshop. Sometimes, LEGO takes popular characters or vehicles and gives them a holiday makeover, like the 2019 Christmas X-Wing, which featured the classic Star Wars ship in candy cane colors.

LEGO has once again gifted its employees a special holiday set, and many are calling it the best LEGO set of 2025. The 1769-piece set, called the LEGO Toy Store, is actually two builds in one: a toy store and a post office/workshop. You can choose to display these buildings next to each other, or back-to-back, which represents them being located in different parts of the world.
Jay’s Brick Blog, a popular LEGO review site, recently previewed the LEGO Toy Store 2025 Employee Gift set, offering fans a detailed look inside. Unlike the post office version which is filled with packages, this toy store includes tiny versions of vintage LEGO sets. Stickers are used to recreate designs from classic sets like the 323 Train and 324 House with Garage from the 1960s. The review also showcases the set’s seven minifigures, including two elves, a postal worker, the toy store owner, and Santa Claus.
Since the LEGO Toy Store was created as a gift for employees, it’s not available for direct purchase from LEGO. However, if you’re eager to own this winter village-style set, you can try finding it on resale sites like eBay or Bricklink. New, unopened sets are currently selling for between $200 and $300. Over the past six months, the average selling price on Bricklink has been around $214.
The Most Expensive LEGO Employee Gift Sets
Although $200-$300 might seem expensive for a LEGO set with 1769 pieces – even one with a nice holiday design and seven minifigures – it’s actually a low price compared to other LEGO Employee Gift sets. Here are a few examples currently selling for more on Bricklink (based on the average price of new sets sold in the last six months) than the new LEGO Toy Store set.
- LEGO Christmas X-Wing – $916.24
- LEGO Heart 2008 – $500.00
- LEGO Ole Kirk’s House – $467.06
- LEGO Duck – $261.89
- LEGO The Nutcracker – $259.35
- LEGO HUB Birds – $243.97
Although the 2025 LEGO Toy Store is the largest LEGO Employee Gift set ever created, its current price is lower than past sets like the 2019 Christmas X-Wing, the 2008 Heart, and the 2012 Ole Kirk’s House – all of which now sell for over $450 because they’re hard to find. However, like previous Employee Gift sets, the LEGO Toy Store could very well increase in value over time.
