6th Biggest LEGO Set Ever Reportedly Coming in June 2026

A new leak suggests that the upcoming LEGO Lord of the Rings set, based on the city of Minas Tirith, will be massive – and expensive. It’s expected to cost at least $600 and contain over 8,278 pieces, which would make it one of the largest LEGO sets ever released, ranking as the sixth-biggest.

The first whispers about a LEGO Minas Tirith set started on the Brick Tap forum in September 2025. In December of that year, LEGO leakers T and N Bricks suggested the set would be incredibly large, potentially becoming the biggest Lord of the Rings LEGO set ever released, though they didn’t reveal how many pieces it would contain.

A new report from Brick Tap confirms details about the long-awaited Minas Tirith LEGO set, backing up earlier leaks from T and N Bricks. The set will contain a whopping 8,278 pieces, making it significantly larger than the current biggest Lord of the Rings LEGO set, Rivendell (10316), by 2,111 pieces – or 34.2%. According to Brick Tap, the Minas Tirith set (number 11377) is expected to cost between $600 and $650 and will be available starting June 1, 2026. The report also suggests the set might be a “facade build,” meaning only the front is fully detailed with a miniature version of the seven-tiered city of Gondor. The back would likely be open, allowing people to easily see and play with the inside of the build.

The set also includes nine more minifigures, which were previously revealed in a Brick Tap leak back in October 2025. When comparing it to other large LEGO sets – the Millennium Falcon has 11 minifigures, and the Death Star has 38 – and considering 11377 Minas Tirith is expected to have a similar number of pieces as those sets, it’s likely the final minifigure count will be somewhere in between.

LEGO is planning to release another Lord of the Rings set in 2026, rumored to be a Sauron Bust (set number 11373). It’s expected to have around 538 pieces and cost between $70 and $75, with a launch date in early March 2026.
