All Xbox Game Pass Games Confirmed for January 2026

As of today, only two new games have been announced for Xbox Game Pass in January 2026. While 2025 was a fantastic year for the service with many top-quality additions, it also brought a price increase for the Ultimate subscription, jumping from $19.99 to $29.99 a month. This likely created a bit of a mixed reaction from subscribers.

Now that Xbox Game Pass costs more, whether it’s still a good value depends on how often you use it. If you regularly buy new games, Game Pass is probably still worth the price, even with the increase. But if you only play a Game Pass game occasionally, you might want to subscribe for fewer months. Microsoft is definitely working hard to add lots of great games to the service, including more new releases, to make the higher price worthwhile.

The full list of games coming to Xbox Game Pass in January 2026 isn’t available yet, but Microsoft will likely share more details in the coming weeks. We do know that two games are confirmed: Mio: Memories in Orbit will be available starting January 20th, and Nova Roma will launch on January 22nd.

List of New Xbox Game Pass Games Coming in January 2026

If you haven’t heard of it, Mio: Memories in Orbit is a highly anticipated new game launching in 2026. It’s a sci-fi adventure in the style of Metroidvania games, where you’ll explore a massive, futuristic spaceship overrun with dangerous robots. Like other Metroidvania titles, you’ll gain new abilities to help you fight and navigate the game’s beautiful world. Metroidvania fans won’t want to miss Mio: Memories in Orbit, and it will be available to play at no extra cost for anyone with an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription.

Nova Roma offers a unique take on the city-building genre. Players are tasked with constructing and managing a Roman city, but they must also appease the Roman gods. Ignoring the gods can lead to serious problems, adding a challenging twist to traditional city-building gameplay. Currently, Nova Roma is only planned for release on PC.

Currently, only six Xbox Game Pass games have confirmed release dates for 2026: Mio: Memories in Orbit, Nova Roma, MENACE (February 5), High on Life 2 (February 13), Death Howl (February 19), and Replaced (March 12).

As a big fan of strategy games, I’m really excited about MENACE, the new title from the creators of Battle Brothers. It’s a sci-fi, turn-based tactics game, and it’s hitting early access on PC February 5th. The best part? If you’re a PC Game Pass or Game Pass Ultimate subscriber, you’ll be able to jump in and play it right away! Console players will have to be a little patient, though – it’s coming to consoles sometime after the PC launch.

The first High on Life was a fantastic addition to Xbox Game Pass, so it’s great that High on Life 2 is launching on the service right away too. The sequel promises more of the same funny, over-the-top sci-fi shooting action as the original, and it looks really entertaining. I’m really excited to play it – it’s one of my most anticipated Game Pass games coming in 2026!

Death Howl is a challenging deck-building card game currently available on PC Game Pass. Players on Xbox Series X/S will be able to play it starting February 19.

Good news for Xbox Game Pass subscribers: Replaced arrives on March 12th! This highly anticipated action-platformer has been a long time coming, and it has the potential to be one of the biggest and best new games added to Game Pass this year.

Several other games coming to Game Pass are currently scheduled to launch in 2026, including four big titles from Microsoft: the next Forza Horizon game, a reimagining of Fable, Gears of War: E-Day, and a remake of the original Halo. These releases are planned to coincide with Xbox’s 25th anniversary. We expect to learn more about these games—and others—at the Xbox Developer Direct event in January, so keep an eye out for updates.
