My Hero Academia Vigilantes: 11 Characters Who Will Shine in Season 2

This article contains spoilers from the My Hero Academia: Vigilantes manga.

Even though Izuku Midoriya’s story has finished in My Hero Academia, the series My Hero Academia: Vigilantes is continuing with a second season, focusing on the group of unauthorized heroes led by Koichi Haimawari (The Crawler). Season 2 will feature a variety of heroes – both official pros and those operating outside the law – and explore their impact on the world of heroism.

Even though Knuckleduster has stopped fighting, the other amateur heroes in My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Season 2 will continue to try and keep the peace in surprising ways. This season of MHA: Vigilantes will focus on these neighborhood heroes, with some professional heroes providing backup.

Makoto Tsukauchi

  • Quirk: Polygraph

Makoto Tsukauchi plays a vital role in Koichi Haimawari’s life, both as someone he cares for and as the dedicated manager of Captain Celebrity. She keeps Captain Celebrity organized, handling everything from his busy schedule to his personal issues, and has been instrumental in improving his public image. Makoto is known for her upbeat and friendly personality, always focusing on the bright side of things.

In the second season of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, Makoto will keep managing Captain Celebrity while also working hard to boost Pop Step’s career. She’ll also be finishing her thesis, getting help from the Naruhata Vigilantes. All this happens as she investigates her brother, who is targeting a mysterious group known as the Villain Factory.

Naomasa Tsukauchi

  • Quirk: N/A

Naomasa Tsukauchi is a dedicated and proactive police officer, always ready to take action. He’s deeply committed to his work and caring for his sister, and doesn’t seem to prioritize romantic relationships.

Season 2 of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes will see Detective Naomasa investigating the illegal trade of Ideo Trigger. He’ll team up with Pro Heroes like Eraserhead and Midnight to look into the growing number of people suddenly gaining villainous powers. His strong connection with All Might will also be a key asset during the upcoming Sky Egg arc.

Fat Gum

  • Quirk: Fat Absorption

Fat Gum’s ability to absorb fat will be incredibly valuable in dealing with the more powerful villains appearing in the second season of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes. Similar to heroes like Eraserhead and Midnight, Fat Gum will become involved in a full-scale investigation of the illegal Ideo Trigger trade.

Alongside police officer Monika Kaniyashiki, Fat Gum will face the central villain of the season. Fat Gum’s unique ability will help them collect information about the villain’s powers, allowing them to figure out their weaknesses and how to defeat them.

Midnight

  • Quirk: Somnambulist

In the second season of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, Pro Hero Midnight joins the investigation into Ideo Trigger and the Villain Factory. Working alongside Pop Step – with whom she’ll develop a closer relationship – she’ll go undercover to uncover how Ideo Trigger is being used to quickly create new villains.

Midnight is a friendly and helpful pro hero, always willing to give advice to aspiring heroes like Pop Step and Koichi. She consistently offers support to vigilantes, even though their actions aren’t strictly legal, recognizing their good intentions.

Knuckleduster

  • Quirk: Quirkless (current)

Although Knuckleduster appears to have retired from being a vigilante, the second season of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes has more in store for him. He won’t be teaming up with Koichi and Pop Step for regular crime-fighting, but he will continue pursuing his own investigation, focusing on both the Ideo Trigger and someone he knows with a unique quirk.

Don’t expect Knuckleduster to be a regular visitor to Koichi’s apartment this season, like he was before. He’ll be observing his student from a distance as he works through personal problems that aren’t connected to his family.

Pop Step

  • Quirk: Leap

Throughout most of Season 1, Pop Step assisted Koichi and Knuckleduster with their nighttime patrols. But things will be different in Season 2 of MHA: Vigilantes. Pop Step is taking a break from crime-fighting to focus on her dream of becoming an idol, and she also needs to prepare for important entrance exams. This means Koichi will largely be on his own.

Just because Pop Step and Koichi are still getting to know each other doesn’t mean their relationship won’t develop. While fans might hope Pop Step reveals their past to Koichi, it probably won’t happen in the next season.

Eraserhead

  • Quirk: Erasure

Fans fondly remember Eraserhead as the unforgettable teacher of Class 1-A in the original series. Though he often seems grumpy, he’s a strict but genuinely caring instructor. His unique ability, Erasure, can temporarily shut down other people’s powers, which has often turned the tide in battles between heroes and villains.

Season 2 of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes will show a determined side of Eraserhead, as he pushes his limits to uncover the truth behind the Trigger trade and the series’ main villain – even going undercover in disguise. Throughout the season, he’ll develop a friendship with Koichi and three other former villains who are trying to do good, and they’ll often meet at a rundown shop. Eraserhead’s unique ability will also prove to be a major asset in fights.

All Might

  • Quirk: One For All

Although All Might isn’t the central character in My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, his incredible power makes it feel like he is. Because he possesses One For All, he’s the one who consistently steps in to resolve crises, even with other heroes and vigilantes around.

Currently, All Might is the most powerful character in My Hero Academia: Vigilantes. It wouldn’t be shocking if he demonstrates incredible abilities in Season 2 that really frustrate the main villain.

Number 6

  • Quirk: Overclock

In the second season of MHA: Vigilantes, Number 6 takes over as the primary villain, succeeding Kuin Hachisuka. Calling himself Number 6 (or No. 6), his dangerous quirk, Overclock, will create problems for both Koichi and Pop Step, as well as the professional heroes.

Number 6 sees himself as the successor to the previous hero, O’Clock, who disappeared after losing his powers. He views O’Clock as a mentor, but also harbors a desire to kill him.

Number 6 is planning a massive catastrophe in Tokyo that will put 50,000 people at risk, including the city’s Pro Heroes, without revealing too many details.

Captain Celebrity

  • Quirk: Flight

Captain Celebrity is widely considered America’s top hero in the My Hero Academia: Vigilantes series. He moved to Japan hoping to improve his public image after facing numerous lawsuits and negative press. Initially, he came across as irritating, but his time in Japan, and interactions with people like Koichi, helped him become a better person.

Captain Celebrity might not look like a typical hero, but he’s incredibly dependable. His ability, Flight, gives him exceptional strength and speed, plus a protective shield that makes him very difficult to harm. His actions in the second season of MHA: Vigilantes are so impressive that he’s sure to gain All Might’s respect.
