I watched the sixth season of Yasuhisa Hara’s Kingdom when it came out in 2025, and like always, I was completely hooked. The animation studios, Pierrot and Signpost, really did a fantastic job – the adaptation stayed true to the original manga, which is a big plus. After such a great season, it wasn’t surprising at all when it was announced that Kingdom would be back for another one.

A new part of Kingdom Season 6 is on its way! The official social media account confirmed this installment will finish the current story arc. While some viewers might have hoped for a full Season 7, this approach helps ensure the anime maintains its high quality. So far, the only announcement has been for Kingdom Season 6 Part 2 – a release date hasn’t been revealed yet.

It’s estimated that Kingdom Season 6 Part 2 might premiere in late 2026. Unlike some shows that announce a release month when production is nearing completion, there’s been no such announcement for Kingdom. This suggests it likely won’t be released in Winter, Spring, or even Summer 2026, making Fall 2026 the most probable release window.

Kingdom Season 6 has been very well-received by fans. With strong animation and a good flow, it currently has a rating of 8.88 on MyAnimeList, making it one of the top-rated anime of 2025 and a strong contender for Crunchyroll’s Anime of the Year award.

While Kingdom is a fantastic series, it’s not as well-known in Western countries, so it’s unlikely to win the award, particularly with strong competition from popular titles like My Hero Academia, Solo Leveling, and One Piece. Even so, just being nominated is a positive step, as it will introduce the series to a wider audience.

Kingdom is considered one of the greatest seinen manga series ever created. It’s a massive commercial success, having sold over 100 million copies, placing it among the best-selling manga of all time – only a few series have sold more.

For years, Western fans—particularly English readers—couldn’t access this incredible manga because it wasn’t published in English. Fortunately, Viz Media resolved this in 2025 by releasing the first volume in English. It became available for purchase on November 11, 2025, and you can now find it on all major book retailers.
