Steam users don’t have much time left to grab two free games. One of them, a shooter called Undercroft Warriors, will only be available until December 31st. PC gamers can often find free games on platforms like Steam, the Epic Games Store, GOG, Amazon Prime Gaming, and Itch.io, among others.
PC gamers had a fantastic December on Steam, claiming around 12 free games! The selection was diverse, ranging from indie horror like Just Ignore Them and the quirky platformer Banana Hell, to open-world RPGs like Wild Terra 2: New Lands. Just recently, Caveman World: Mountains of Unga Boonga, a retro platformer set in prehistoric times, was available for free until December 30th at 10 AM PST.
Steam Offers That Are Expiring Soon
- Undercroft Warriors (until December 31 at 10 AM PST)
- Train Sim World 6: Spirit of Steam: Liverpool Lime Street – Crewe Route Add-on (until January 5 at 10 AM PST)
Okay, so Steam’s giving away a couple of free games right now, but I need to hurry and grab Undercroft Warriors before 10 AM PST on December 31st! It’s a really cool twin-stick shooter with this awesome, striking pixel art style – everything’s black, white, and red. Basically, you’re fighting endless waves of demons. You get to pick from six different heroes, each with their own weapons and powers, and the whole point is to rack up a massive high score by blasting enemies as fast as you can and building up a combo multiplier. Definitely worth checking out if you like that kind of thing!
Steam players have a little more time to get the free Train Sim World 6: Spirit of Steam: Liverpool Lime Street – Crewe Route Add-On, as the offer is good until 10 AM PST on January 5th. You can claim it even if you don’t already own Train Sim World 6, but you’ll need the base game to actually play the add-on. Good news: both the regular and Thomas & Friends versions of Train Sim World 6 are currently on sale, also until January 5th. Released on August 26th, Spirit of Steam: Liverpool Lime Street – Crewe Route Add-On recreates the 36-mile railway line between Liverpool Lime Street and Crewe as it appeared in 1958. Developer Dovetail Games has carefully recreated the stations, tracks, and other details to be historically accurate, letting players experience driving a steam train like an LMS Jubilee Class locomotive during that time.
There Is Another Free Game to Claim on Epic Games Store Right Now
PC gamers won’t want to miss the daily free game currently offered by the Epic Games Store. Since December 18th, Epic has been giving away a new game every 24 hours as part of its holiday celebration. The latest free title is Trine: Classic Collection, available to claim until December 31st at 8 AM PST. This collection includes all four games in the popular puzzle-platforming series. If you’re interested in the fifth game, Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy, it’s currently 60% off on both the Epic Games Store and Steam until January 8th.
