Over the years, the world of Naruto has witnessed many powerful ninja come and go. It’s a pattern throughout the series: each new generation of ninja tends to be stronger than the last. Naruto Uzumaki’s generation was the strongest yet, with Naruto himself considered the most powerful of them all. At his peak, Naruto was nearly invincible, with only a few characters like Shibai Otsutsuki able to challenge him.

Sadly, Naruto is no longer the strongest character in the series. He was eventually sealed away by Kawaki and remains weakened to this day. This has created an opportunity for a new strongest character to emerge in Boruto, and that character is Naruto’s son, Boruto Uzumaki. While Boruto hasn’t reached his father’s peak yet, he’s currently the most powerful ninja in the Naruto universe, and is expected to maintain that position in 2026.

This power is incredible – it should be far stronger than anything he possesses. However, it comes with a significant cost: it shortens our lifespans. Naruto created a powerful new energy source, called Baryon Mode, by combining his own power with that of the Nine-Tailed Fox, Kurama. While this mode granted him incredible strength, it ultimately led to Kurama’s disappearance and left Naruto severely weakened. Shortly after his battle with Isshiki, Naruto was sealed away by Kawaki and remains unable to fight. Because of this, Boruto has had to step up and become the world’s strongest ninja by the year 2026.

It’s clear now that Boruto Uzumaki is the most powerful of the new generation of ninja. This is largely due to his intense training: first, he spent a year learning directly from Sasuke Uchiha, mastering most of Sasuke’s Uchiha techniques, though he still needed practice. Then, Kashin Koji trained him for another two years, teaching him a wide range of jutsu from different timelines using his ability to see into the future.

The current version of Boruto Uzumaki is arguably the peak of his character, which explains his incredible power. He’s strong enough to go head-to-head with formidable opponents like the Shinjuu and Code.

To make matters even more significant, Boruto now possesses Momoshiki’s Karma. Recent chapters reveal Boruto and Momoshiki reached an agreement, granting Boruto access to Momoshiki’s vast experience and power. This has rapidly elevated Boruto beyond a typical ninja, allowing him to compete with the strongest beings in the series.

Boruto’s Power Level Will Grow Even Further

Boruto Uzumaki is already incredibly powerful, likely one of the strongest ever at his age. His power will only continue to increase, and he’s currently only utilizing the first stage of his Karma ability. Fans anticipate that during tougher battles, like the one against Jura, Boruto will unlock Karma Stage 2, making him even stronger.

Boruto’s potential is immense – he could eventually become as powerful as, or even stronger than, Isshiki. This suggests that when Boruto fully masters his Karma, he might be able to compete with Naruto in Baryon Mode, and possibly even exceed his strength. While that sounds unbelievable, it’s a thrilling prospect for what’s to come in the series.

Fans Hope For Naruto’s Return To Great Power

Although Boruto is now stronger than Naruto Uzumaki, many fans expect to see Naruto return in the future. While it’s unlikely he’ll gain a huge power boost in the Boruto series, fans are hoping the creators will give him a meaningful role later on.

It’s almost certain Naruto will gain more strength, but it’s unclear if it will be on par with Boruto’s abilities. As the Seventh Hokage, fans are eager to see Naruto regain his power soon – it would be a thrilling development for the story and finally give viewers what they’ve been hoping for.

It doesn’t look like Naruto will be back in the manga anytime soon, and definitely not in 2026. While a return in 2027 is possible, fans shouldn’t expect it just yet. There’s still a lot of story to cover before we see the Seventh Hokage again.
