As a long-time One Piece fan and connoisseur of all things Straw Hat Pirates, I must say that chapter 1127 has certainly got me excited! The revelation that our beloved crew has finally reached Elbaf was a moment I’ve been eagerly waiting for. Nami and Usopp’s bamboozlement at their surroundings only added to the suspense, and the arrival of the massive cat (or rather lion) was a clear indication of the towering giants we know and love from Elbaf.

This article contains spoilers from One Piece Chapter 1127.

Key Takeaways

  • Luffy’s group are already in Elbaf. Nami awakens in a Lego house and is confused.
  • The Straw Hat Pirates split before Elbaf, Oda’s way of focusing on certain characters.
  • Luffy, Zoro, Sanji fight a massive cat.

As a die-hard One Piece fan, I’m beyond thrilled that the Elbaf arc has finally begun! I can hardly contain my excitement to see where Oda takes Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates next. The journey they embark on promises to be an epic adventure, one that surpasses even the memorable moments we witnessed during the Egghead arc.

On one hand, it’s understood among fans that Egghead isn’t like Wano, Arabasta, Dressrosa, or Whole Cake Island – these are significant arcs with dramatic battles that fans anticipate from Elbaf. However, as the Elbaf storyline has begun, the Straw Hat Pirates are eager to traverse uncharted lands, and typically, this phase of a story is where the fun really kicks in during any arc.

How The Straw Hat Pirates Split Before Elbaf

  • Luffy’s Group Is Already In Elbaf
  • Jinbe’s Group Search The Seas

Before the Elbaf Arc even began, the Straw Hat Pirates split apart on the seas. This might be strange for many fans to see, especially those who recently caught up to One Piece and are not used to Oda’s writing habits. However, for those who have been reading One Piece for years upon years, this is nothing special. Oda always separates the Straw Hat Pirates and he does this because it is easier to control individual actions of different characters in this way. It also helps Oda give more focus to every member of the Straw Hat Pirates that he wants to focus on, and prevent the hassle of showing the entire crew in every chapter.

I think I drank too much. Where exactly am I? – Nami

Indeed, readers might wish for every Straw Hat Pirate to appear together in a One Piece chapter, but due to the vast size of the crew, it’s challenging for Oda to feature each member significantly without overcrowding the plot. This is why dividing the Straw Hat Pirates is a strategy that Oda frequently uses. It’s no surprise to One Piece fans that the Straw Hats had to part ways in this instance, much like they did during the Wano Country Arc, and even before that, in the Whole Cake Island arc, as well as in the Dressrosa Arc.

The division of the Strawhat Pirates was unavoidable, given the circumstances, and fans are well aware that during their journey to Elbaf, the crew actually separated into two distinct teams. The primary team, expected to play a more significant role in Elbaf, comprises Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Nami, Usopp, who will undoubtedly make an impact in one way or another at Elbaf. Conversely, there is the second half of the Straw Hats, who will also be crucial in Elbaf but may not receive as much attention. This group includes Chopper, Robin, Frankie, Brooke, Jinbe, along with Lilith, Jewelry Bonney, and Bartholomew Kuma. In the forthcoming chapters of One Piece, it seems that Eiichiro Oda will concentrate on this latter group as they pursue the first team.

It’s clear that the Straw Hat Pirates celebrated with the Giants, leading to quite an unusual event. The alcohol the Giants had was exceptionally potent, causing several members of the Straw Hats to lose consciousness and some to experience vivid hallucinations. When they awoke, they discovered themselves in Elbaf, though half of the group seems to have made the journey. Upon waking up, Luffy’s crew found themselves in a Lego-style castle within Elbaf, and it remains unclear exactly how they managed to reach that country.

In chapter 1127 of One Piece, it wasn’t hard for me or any other fan to notice we had somehow ended up in Elbaf. Luffy’s crew woke up in what looked like a giant Lego castle in the previous storyline. This time around, it was Nami who seemed confused and asked where we were. Dressed in an Elbaf outfit, she was clearly hinting that the Elbaf Arc had officially begun. In simpler words, Nami and Usopp were both left scratching our heads about our location. The massive Lego-like castle made it clear we were under the watchful eye of some Giant.

Regarding their arrival, it’s still unclear how they managed to get there. However, what is certain is that they have officially stepped foot in the land of Elbaf, promising even more thrilling events ahead. Moreover, fans were treated to an enormous cat loitering outside a toy house. This colossal feline seemed to view Usopp as nothing more than a pesky insect and attacked him. Fortunately for their fellow Strawhat Pirates, the Monster Trio intervened just in time. The scene that followed was spectacular, as Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji valiantly fought the cat, which had transformed into a lion simultaneously.

In the given chapter, the collaboration between the Monster Trio stood out significantly since they don’t often share many moments post timeskip in One Piece. In this instance, Oda decided to emphasize them, showcasing how Luffy, with his two wings, work harmoniously on the battlefield, making most tasks a bit more manageable.

What Is Next For Robin’s Group?

Regarding Robin’s band, it was made clear in the last chapter that they don’t intend to visit Elbaf without Luffy. Yet, here’s the twist: Luffy and his team are currently in Elbaf. This inevitably puts Robin and the other Giants in a position where they must search for Luffy within Elbaf. Abandoning Luffy is not an option for them.

We can’t head to Elbaf without Luffy! – Robin

In essence, it seems they’ll trace a path left by the second half of the Strawhat Pirates, leading them to the land of Elbaf. It’s plausible that they might discover a giant, maybe even Loki, as the one who transported the Strawhats there. This revelation could come from the Giant Warrior Pirates, who might share information about this giant and his crew with the audience. Subsequently, the other half of the Straw Hat Pirates may pursue the main group based on this trail.
