
Having escaped the Prison and overcome challenges in Little Nightmares, Six now finds herself in the Lair, facing a final confrontation with the Janitor. As you progress through Chapter 2, remember to carefully explore your surroundings to discover hidden Nomes and statues.
The Lair Walkthrough In Little Nightmares
Start by going through the gate and up the stairs. Enter the first room you see. A small creature called a Nome will run off – follow it! To reach the first lantern and light it, you’ll need to use a chair to climb onto the desk.
Next, drag the chair to the tile with black stains to open a secret door.
A large eye will show you hidden areas if you continue to press the button. After you’ve explored them, quickly move around the room to drive the Nome away.
Walk all the way back to the stairs, then go up to the next level. You’ll find the first Nome at the end of the platform.
Go upstairs and jump through the window into what looks like the janitor’s room. Then, move the suitcase near the lever and pull it – this will reveal a hidden bed.
Get on the bed and use the drawers as steps to climb up. Then, jump onto the shelf, and carefully move to the upper shelf to locate the first statue.
Head down and throw the key to the floor.
Hold it and push through the opening. Throw the key higher and use it to open the lock.
Grab the monkey toy and throw it at the elevator button to call it.
Repeat the same steps using the toy inside the elevator to go down.
Light the second lantern along the way as Six gets her second hunger episode.
When you go to eat the raw meat inside the cage, it triggers a trap. The Janitor’s hand suddenly reaches out and locks Six inside.
Run back and forth inside the cage to force it to fall and break.
Head left through the small gap and light the third lantern.
Move the cage containing the child under the lever that’s hanging overhead. Pull the lever to start swinging, and keep swinging left and right until you’re near the door on the right. Then, let go of the lever and quickly slide through the opening – it’s important to be fast because the door closes quickly once you release the lever.
Scale the bars past the door to reach the upper platform, then light the first candle in Chapter 2.
Enter the Janitor’s workroom through the small opening. Be careful – the boss who works there is blind, but has excellent hearing. To avoid being detected, walk on the cloths and carpets instead of the wooden floor.
Step on the fabric and jump onto the cages to get to the next room, ducking through a small opening. If the Janitor is behind you, quickly hide in the entrance area until he’s gone.
Take the lever and put it onto the beam. Turn it to open the hatch, which will alert the Janitor. Then, hurry to the hatch and jump inside.
Navigate the vents until the fourth lantern appears.
Six can use the small bars to climb higher to where a Nome is sitting.
Head sideways and climb the narrow vent to find the second Nome and hug it in a small room.
Crawl through the opening and keep moving through the vent until you drop onto a suitcase in a room overflowing with shoes. Move quickly and carefully from suitcase to suitcase, weaving through the shoes, to stay hidden from the monster that’s hunting you.
Six will enter the room where she was captured and begin walking backward. The Janitor will then appear and pursue her. Quickly run to the elevator and hide inside the small box in the bottom right corner.
Okay, so the Janitor didn’t spot me right away – he just hit the elevator button. I thought I was a goner, but then a couple of those creepy Nomes showed up and somehow distracted him, leading him away! Total lifesaver, even if they are kinda unsettling.
In the next room, push the box of toys and stand near the monkey toy to weigh the plank down.
Proceed forward until the end, where you’ll find the second statue in Little Nightmares.
Go back to the small ladder near the Janitor. Toss the monkey toy onto the floor of the first room to distract him. Then, crouch by the small opening and wait for him to investigate the toy.
Walk carefully around the toys in the next room, then quickly run and climb onto the dresser drawers. Move the box to find a small opening – just right for Six.
Enter the next room and immediately push the door open, then quickly crouch down in the center. The Janitor will appear shortly. When he does, carefully pick up a shoe and throw it at the button – this will unlock the door.
Hurry down the hall before he sees you, and you’ll find yourself in a room filled with books.
Crouch under the desk to force a Nome out of hiding.
Approach the stack of books near the door and hug the third Nome.
Climb the bookshelves and light the second candle in Little Nightmares.
To unlock the Six’s Song Achievement, carefully jump onto the piano and run across all the keys two or three times.
Head to the bookshelves on the left and climb up. You’ll see the Janitor has entered the area. Now, you need to locate a missing lever to proceed.
Please walk carefully on the carpets. To reach the higher shelves, go past the stacks of books that are near the camera.
Climb to the higher shelf and light the third candle.
Carefully move down to the lower level and continue forward. If anything falls, it will alert the janitor, and you’ll need to avoid him.
Okay, so once you get across, you’ll want to climb up that pile of books. Then, you can actually get into the room through the little window – it’s how you get in!
Take the lever and set it aside by the door – you’ll need it later. Turn on the TV, quickly grab the lever again, and then crouch by the door to wait. When the Janitor comes in, he’ll be distracted by the TV. Once he’s focused on the screen, carefully leave the room, walking slowly across the carpet instead of running. This will give you extra time.
Light the fourth candle on the bottom bookshelf. Then, use the now-empty shelf to return to the room with the hanging piano.
Slot the lever into position and begin turning it to lift the piano. Then, use the piano as a platform to jump across to the other side.
Light the fifth candle and go through the small entrance.
Roll the cart onto the steam vent, jump across to the next platform, and then pull the cart to the finish.
Jump towards the door handle to reach it. Hold on tight – letting go will cause Six to fall into a deadly pit.
Proceed forward through the small hole into the vents to light the fifth lantern.
You’ll come across two openings. The Janitor uses the second one to try and grab Six, so watch out! Once his arm appears, have Six duck under it and crawl through the small opening.
Begin running immediately, as the Janitor is about to appear and pursue you, eventually cornering you in a small room. He’ll attempt to grab Six, but a cage is preventing the gate from shutting.
Climb up the enclosure and watch for him to move his left hand away from the bars. Then, jump down and grab one of the corner supports.
After that, climb onto the cages and wait for the sequence to repeat. When Six pulls the second cage lever, the gate will slam shut, injuring her hands. Crawl through the small opening to finish Chapter 2 and unlock the “The Lair” achievement.
You’ll earn the Elusive Trophy if you’re chased by the Janitor and narrowly escape capture six times during this chapter.
