Another week is ending, and before you relax into the weekend, you might want to tackle today’s NYT Connections puzzle. Let’s keep your winning streak going and aim for a great year with these puzzles! I’ve provided some hints and solutions below to help you finish quickly.
What is NYT Connections?
I should probably give you some background information before diving into today’s NYT Connections hints and clues.
NYT Connections launched in June 2023 as the newest game from the New York Times, and it quickly became popular. It’s easy to understand why – the game is free to play, readily available to anyone around the world, and can be enjoyed on computers or through the mobile app.
NYT Connections is a great way to pass the time, like when you’re commuting or waiting for your coffee.
But how do you play NYT Connections?

It’s relatively simple, and that’s why it’s the best New York Times game, in my opinion.
Each day, the New York Times Connections game gives you a set of 16 words. Your goal is to organize those words into four groups of four, based on what they have in common. There’s only one correct solution to each puzzle, and the words can sometimes be misleading, making it a bit challenging.
The words are also color-coded to show how challenging they are: yellow is the easiest, followed by blue, then green, and finally purple, which is the most difficult.
It’s important to remember you only get four attempts each day. Use them all up, and you won’t be able to solve today’s NYT Connections puzzle – the game will be over.
