I’ve been a huge fan of Ben 10 ever since it came out – it’s one of the best superhero shows from the 2000s! The main character, Ben Tennyson, has this amazing watch called the Omnitrix that lets him turn into different aliens. Each alien has its own special abilities, which are super useful whether he’s fighting bad guys or just going about his day. But let’s be real, some of those alien forms are way more powerful than others!
At the start of his adventures, Ben has ten core alien forms, but he soon unlocks hundreds more throughout the series. These aliens give him a huge range of abilities, including super speed and the power to absorb energy. While many of his transformations are unique and helpful, a few stand out as the most powerful and iconic in the entire franchise.
10. NRG is Actually a Containment Suit For a Much More Powerful Being
First Appears in Ben 10: Ultimate Alien Season 2, Episode 6, “The Forge of Creation”

NRG is a fascinating alien from the series. What appears to be NRG’s main form throughout much of Ultimate Alien is actually a protective suit containing an even more powerful entity. While in the suit, NRG can fire focused beams of intense radiation and withstand a lot of damage. But when freed from the suit, this alien’s attacks become far more devastating.
NRG, also known as the Prypiatosian-B species, is incredibly tough and generates a huge amount of energy, which Ben utilizes frequently. While it takes some figuring out, Ben can escape his suit, and his ability to control heat is a major advantage. Being almost entirely made of radiation, NRG is completely immune to all forms of radiation, and his suit can even withstand being submerged in water. Although not the fastest, NRG is definitely one of Ben’s strongest and most adaptable defensive forms.
9. The Worst is Indestructible & One of Ben’s Most Durable Transformations
First Appears in Ben 10: Omniverse Season 2, Episode 3, “Outbreak”
Image via Warner Bros A lot of fans of Ben 10 think the name ‘The Worst’ is actually quite fitting. When this alien first appeared in Ben 10: Omniverse, Ben struggled to figure out what The Worst was good for. It doesn’t have any fighting skills, isn’t very fast, and generally seems helpless. Ben eventually realizes The Worst’s true ability: it’s nearly impossible to hurt. Getting hit for the first time reveals that the alien is immune to almost all physical attacks.
Besides being able to withstand physical attacks, The Worst is highly resistant to poisons. It’s even survived hits from an Appoplexian, one of the strongest alien species in the series. Despite this, The Worst is Ben’s least favorite alien form, and he never chooses to transform into it.
8. XLR8 Moves Fast Enough That Time Itself Stops
First Appears in Ben 10 Season 1, Episode 1, “And Then There Were 10”
Image via Warner Bros XLR8 is one of Ben’s earliest and quickest alien forms. He’s incredibly fast – at times, Ben moves so quickly it appears to freeze time. Although his speed isn’t always consistent, XLR8 remains Ben’s fastest alien. He doesn’t appear much after the first season, probably because the creators recognized just how powerful this transformation made Ben.
XLR8 is incredibly fast and can change direction instantly. Very few characters, real or fictional, could beat him in a race or test his reaction time. While he can’t fly, XLR8 runs so fast he can scale walls and even run across water. Ben has other speedy aliens, but XLR8 remains a favorite for a good reason.
7. Upgrade Can Take Control of Any Technology, Alien or Otherwise
First Appears in Ben 10 Season 1, Episode 4, “Permanent Retirement”
Image via Warner Bros Upgrade is one of Ben’s unique alien forms created from technology, giving him the power to absorb and control any tech he touches. He can even use technology he’s never encountered before! As the name suggests, Upgrade can enhance and improve anything he takes control of.
Upgrade, also known as the Galvanic Mechamorph, is one of Ben’s most frequently used and adaptable forms. While he can override any technology, he can be forcefully separated from whatever he’s merged with, something we’ve seen happen a few times. Upgrade himself isn’t very strong on his own, but when combined with the right tech, Ben becomes incredibly powerful.
6. Way Big Is the Largest Transformation in Ben’s Arsenal
First Appears in Ben 10 Versus the Universe: The Movie
Image via Warner Bros Way Big lives up to its name – it’s incredibly large, easily making it the tallest alien Ben 10 can transform into. While in this form, Ben can also shoot powerful energy blasts. As Ultimate Way Big, Ben can grow even bigger, but this ability is only available when using the Ultimatrix.
Way Big is a truly unique alien for Ben, special because even its creator, Asmuth, personally authorized its use. Recognizing Ben’s potential, Asmuth later upgraded Way Big to help him defeat Vilgax. This alien is also incredibly powerful – Ben 10,000 used Way Big to triumph over Kevin 11,000. With its enormous size and strength, Way Big is a force even Ben’s strongest enemies struggle to overcome.
5. Gravattack Uses a Universal Law For Their Main Attack
First Appears in Ben 10: Omniverse Season 1, Episode 3, “A Jolt From the Past”
Image via Warner Bros Gravattack is one of Ben’s strongest alien forms because he controls gravity – a basic force of the universe. He can use gravity to attack, and even change the gravity affecting others, making him a truly formidable opponent. This ability makes him incredibly difficult to hit, and he can quickly disable almost anyone he fights.
The key to defeating Gravattack is catching him off guard. If you don’t, he’ll increase the gravity around him, making it impossible to fight. His main weakness is his core – if you damage it enough, he’ll explode. However, Ben can survive the explosion, though it might slow him down. Gravattack can also transform into a planet-like form, giving him even more control over gravity. But, changes to his overall mass will throw off his orbit and destabilize him.
4. Feedback Can Absorb Any Type of Energy
First Appears in Ben 10: Omniverse Season 1, Episode 1, “The More Things Change: Part 1”
Image via Warner Bros Feedback is one of Ben’s strongest aliens because he can absorb almost any type of energy incredibly quickly. He then redirects this energy as powerful electric attacks. He’s even shown he can handle immense cosmic power, like when Ben used Feedback to stop a weapon that could have destroyed everything. Interestingly, Feedback’s biggest limitation isn’t a weakness of the alien itself, but rather a challenge for Ben to overcome when using him.
Ben seems to really enjoy transforming into Conductoid, often choosing it even when other aliens might be more suitable. He used to get a little overconfident while in this form, which once caused him to lose control. Now that he’s more mature, Ben uses Conductoid much more strategically alongside his other transformations. While Conductoid is a top choice for energy-based fights, Ben knows how to utilize all of his alien forms effectively.
3. Alien X Allows Ben to do Whatever He wants, With a Major Limitation
First Appears in Ben 10: Alien Force Season 1, Episode 13, “X = Ben + 2”
Image via Warner Bros Alien X is, on paper, Ben’s strongest transformation. This alien has god-like power, able to create universes effortlessly. However, there’s a major problem that makes it almost impossible to use. When Ben transforms into Alien X, he only controls one-third of the being’s mind. He can only act if Serena and Bellicus – the other two parts of the consciousness – both agree, and they constantly disagree on everything.
Most Celestialsapiens appear frozen because the many personalities within them can’t agree on anything, preventing them from taking action. Ben has shown he can sometimes persuade Serena and Bellicus to allow him control of Alien X, but he doesn’t actively try to do so. He mainly uses this transformation when facing extreme danger, though he has used Alien X to completely reshape the multiverse.
2. Atomix Emits Powerful Atomic-Based Energy
First Appears in Ben 10: Omniverse Season 4, Episode 10, “For a Few Brains More”
Image via Warner Bros Atomix is Ben’s strongest transformation, yet much about him remains a mystery. We don’t know where he comes from or what species he belongs to, but his power is unmatched. As the name suggests, Atomix can generate incredible amounts of atomic energy and possesses immense physical strength.
Ben can unleash incredible power with Atomix, even managing to send the incredibly strong Albedo flying into orbit while Albedo was in his most powerful form. Atomix is theoretically capable of generating an energy blast as large as the sun, making him far more powerful than most of Ben’s opponents. This immense power is likely why the main version of Ben doesn’t use Atomix often, while Ben 10,000 relies on it heavily.
1. Clockwork Has the Power to Reverse Time, Within Certain Limits
First Appears in Ben 10: Ultimate Alien Season 3, Episode 24, “Inspector 13”
Image via Warner Bros Clockwork is one of Ben’s strongest forms because he can control time. Even though his time manipulation isn’t limitless, his ability to rewind time makes him incredibly difficult to defeat. If Clockwork ever starts losing a battle, he can simply go back in time and retry until he achieves victory.
Clockwork isn’t a particularly tough opponent in a direct fight. However, he’s dangerous because of his time-bending abilities. He can send enemies forward or backward in time, or drastically change their age. Ultimately, Clockwork often wins by turning his opponents into babies or elderly people, avoiding a fight altogether.
