Hashirama Senju, the first-ever Hokage, was a hugely famous ninja. Often called the God of Shinobi, he dramatically reshaped the ninja world during his time and created a lasting system that still exists today.

Hashirama accomplished a lot during his time as a ninja, but a few of his achievements were truly remarkable and stand above the rest.

7. Beat Kakuzu

Hashirama Senju once battled Kakuzu, who later became a member of the Akatsuki. Although we didn’t see the fight directly, it’s clear Kakuzu barely survived. Considering Kakashi had trouble fighting Kakuzu, Hashirama winning is notable. However, given Hashirama’s immense skill, this likely wasn’t a very difficult battle for him.

Even though Hashirama couldn’t defeat him, the fight was likely more challenging than people realize, making it a truly remarkable accomplishment.

6. Became The Leader Of The Senju Clan

Hashirama took leadership of the Senju clan when he was very young. After numerous battles against the Uchiha clan, he ultimately succeeded in his goal of creating a peaceful time.

Hashirama didn’t want to continue the conflict with the Uchiha, and he especially wanted to protect children from harm. Even though he had strong beliefs, becoming a leader through his own power and determination was a remarkable accomplishment.

5. Subdued Kurama

During his fight with Madara Uchiha, Hashirama faced not one, but two incredibly strong opponents: Madara and the Nine-Tailed Beast, Kurama. It was a remarkable battle, and Hashirama quickly defeated Kurama at the start.

It was incredible watching Hashirama break through Madara’s Susanoo! But the really amazing part? He actually used his Wood Release to calm down the Nine-Tails and break Madara’s control over it. Seriously, imagine being able to do that! They ended up sealing Kurama inside his wife, Mito Uzumaki, which was the best solution at the time. Honestly, subduing a beast as powerful as the Nine-Tails is just…wow. A truly legendary feat!

4. Beat Madara Uchiha

Hashirama and Madara clashed in numerous hard-fought battles, each one very close. Their last fight, the most famous of them all, ultimately ended with Hashirama winning.

The two combatants were evenly matched in strength, and Hashirama only defeated Madara because Madara wasn’t prepared for an attack from behind. Ultimately, Hashirama won the fight, and that’s undeniable.

3. Became The First Hokage

Once Konoha was founded, Hashirama became its first Hokage. This was a remarkable accomplishment, securing his place in history as the village’s pioneering leader.

While Hashirama becoming Hokage seemed positive, it actually caused a lot of issues. It strained his relationship with Madara, and even led to disagreements between Madara and other members of the Uchiha clan. Ultimately, this tension caused Madara to leave the village, eventually leading to an attack and their legendary final battle at the Valley of the End.

2. Laid The Foundation For Ninja Villages

Hashirama Senju, alongside Madara Uchiha, founded the village of Konoha. But his most significant accomplishment wasn’t just creating the village itself – it was that Konoha inspired the creation of all other ninja villages across the land. These villages, modeled after Konoha and the Land of Fire, wouldn’t exist as they do today without his initial work.

Hashirama Senju is largely responsible for the creation of ninja villages in the world of Naruto. This is arguably his greatest accomplishment, and without his efforts, the ninja world would be a vastly different place today.

1. Created Konoha With Madara

Hashirama’s greatest accomplishment was undoubtedly founding Konoha, the most significant village in the Naruto world. From childhood, he and Madara shared a vision of a peaceful nation where children wouldn’t have to fight and die. Though initially idealistic, their growing strength ultimately allowed them to make that dream a reality.

After resolving their conflicts, Hashirama and Madara worked together to build the village of Konoha. Madara came up with the name, but Hashirama played an equally important role in its creation. Considering how significant Konoha becomes in the story, it’s clear why this was Hashirama’s greatest accomplishment.
