The Common Brimstone is one of the earliest insects you’ll encounter in Heartopia. It’s a simple catch for new players, being Level 1. You can find it in the Suburbs, where its bright yellow-green wings make it easy to spot as it flies low to the ground.
The Common Brimstone butterfly is unique because you can find it any time of day, making it easy to catch even during quick playing sessions. It also appears in a variety of weather conditions, including Sunny, Rainy, and Rainbow days.

How to Catch the Common Brimstone
The Common Brimstone is a great insect for new bug-catchers to start with. While it’s easy to catch, practicing good technique now will be helpful when you try to catch more difficult insects, such as the Crimson Marsh Glider.
If you see a Common Brimstone, don’t rush at it! Hold the bubble button to sneak up slowly. This will fill your bubble meter and show you exactly how close you need to get to catch it.
When the bubble is completely full and the butterfly is within the highlighted area, let go to catch it right away. If you successfully catch the butterfly, it will be added to your inventory and recorded in your collection if it’s a new find.
Keep catching Common Brimstone butterflies, and you’ll gain Insect Catching experience. This experience lets you unlock new skills and tools from Naniwa, which will be really helpful when you start trying to catch faster and rarer insects – they need perfect timing and positioning!
