As a huge Pokémon GO fan, I’m so excited to hear about what’s coming! Niantic just announced that the new season starting in March will be all about celebrating the game’s 10th anniversary – they’re calling it ‘Memories in Motion’. We’ve already had a great start to the year with lots of new Pokémon appearing and the return of in-person events. January and February were packed with new creatures, and the Kalos GO Tour in February even brought Mega Evolutions like Mega Dragonite and Mega Victreebel, which were originally seen in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. But it sounds like they’ve got something really big planned for us soon!
With the entire Pokemon series turning 30, Pokemon GO will be celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2026. The game has recently undergone significant updates, including changes to the GO Battle League and the introduction of a new, more powerful level for Mega Pokemon called Super Max. A major announcement is also expected during the annual Pokemon Presents livestream on February 27th. Now, Pokemon GO is starting to tease what players can expect in the game’s next season.
Memories in Motion Season Celebrates 10 Years of Pokemon GO
The first trailer for the new Pokemon GO season, ‘Memories in Motion,’ has been released, starting the game’s tenth-anniversary celebration. The trailer showcases a collection of loading screens from Pokemon GO‘s past, ending with a preview of the new season’s loading screen. This image includes both classic Pokemon like Charizard and Butterfree, as well as newer Pokemon from the eighth generation, including all forms of the Galar starters. The trailer finishes with a quick look at Scorbunny, Lechonk, and Tinkatink, and shows Pikachu near what seems to be a Power Spot.
