While exploring Starsand Island, you might decide to become an Angler. You can learn this profession from Delphin, who’s located at the AquaBlue Outpost in Half-Moon Bay. Becoming an Angler involves catching different kinds of fish, creating ponds, and completing typical fishing tasks.
Okay, so when you’re trying to help Delphin become an Intermediate Angler, he’s going to ask you for a Glowfish – but they’re super rare! You can’t just find one around town. You’ll actually have to go all the way to Starsand Island and search the Moonlit Forest to find one for him. It’s a bit of a trek, but totally worth it to help him out!

Where to Find Pearl Glowfish
- Dreamfall Garden – Moonlit Forest
If you’re looking to catch a rare Pearl Glowfish, the best place to go is the waterfall just west of Dreamfall Garden. You’ll often find groups of these fish there, increasing your chances of a successful catch. Dreamfall Garden is located in the Moonlit Forest and is easy to spot – look for a trail of bubbles leading to the waterfall.
If you haven’t accessed Dreamfall Garden yet, try completing some of the initial Exploration quests given by a character in Zephyria, located on Starsand Island. He’ll lead you through the Moonlit Forest and unlock all of its areas.
A treasure chest can be found behind the waterfall in Starsand Island‘s Moonlit Forest.
Pearl Glowfish Angling Details
Image via Seed Sparkle Lab - Active Season: Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter
- Weather: Sunny, Snowy, Rainy
- Appearance Time: 06:00 to 00:00 and 00:00 to 02:00
- Bait: Bug Bait, Veggie Bait, Meat Bait
You can buy some bait at Delphin’s shop in AquaBlue Outpost. Using Bug Bait to attract fish in the Dreamfall Garden will improve your chances of catching rare fish, like the Pearl Glowfish. However, remember that catching a Glowfish still relies on luck, so even if you do everything right, you might not always succeed.
If you want to catch more rare fish, consider upgrading your fishing rod. The Chrono Rod is a good choice early in the game, giving you a small boost in rare fish catches. Later on, once you become a Senior Angler, the Titanium Rod is the best rod you can get.
A few players have said they’ve found Glowfish in the little lake by the waterwheel at Darkwater Shore, but our tests haven’t confirmed this. The game description actually says Glowfish are only found in Dreamfall Garden.
How to Breed Glowfish
To breed Glowfish, simply put a few in your fishpond, give them the right food, and turn on the pond’s incubator. The incubator is essential for the eggs to hatch. Also, ensure there’s plenty of oxygen in the water, as low oxygen levels can prevent them from reproducing.
While you can try catching Glowfish with Fish Traps where they naturally appear, it’s not very efficient. However, I personally tested it and was able to catch one within the first day of setting up a trap in the waterbed of Dreamfall Garden, as you can see in the image below.
