Now that the complete list of wrestlers in WWE 2K26 is out, fans have noticed 46 wrestlers who were in WWE 2K25 are no longer included. The newest installment of the 2K wrestling series is bringing a lot of fresh content as it moves to the latest consoles. A key feature of WWE 2K26 will be a Showcase mode focused on the career of CM Punk, and popular modes like MyRise, MyFaction, and Universe are all getting improvements. 2K has also recently announced the full roster of Superstars and legends players will be able to control.
The official list of wrestlers for WWE 2K26 is out, and it’s huge – featuring over 400 wrestlers, both current stars and legends. With the game heavily promoting the exciting Attitude Era and Monday Night Wars, many iconic wrestlers from the late 90s and early 2000s are included, like Triple H, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and The Undertaker. WWE 2K26 is also expanding its roster by adding wrestlers from the Lucha Libre AAA promotion, marking their first appearance in the WWE 2K series. However, some wrestlers who were in last year’s game won’t be returning this time around.
WWE 2K26 Is Missing 46 2K25 Wrestlers
A new report from The Smackdown Hotel reveals that 46 wrestlers have been cut from the upcoming WWE 2K26 game. The changes mostly affect current and former WWE Superstars who have left the company recently, including Isla Dawn, Luke Gallows, and Wolfgang. Several wrestling legends are also missing from the new game, likely because their contracts have expired; this includes popular figures like George “The Animal” Steele, Jake “The Snake” Roberts, and Ricky Steamboat. Additionally, NBA stars Jalen Brunson, Shaquille O’Neal, Tyrese Haliburton, and streamer KSI, who were available as downloadable content in 2K25, are no longer included in the base game for WWE 2K26.
Most of the wrestlers removed from the game, especially those currently wrestling, aren’t a huge shock to fans of the WWE 2K series, as this happens often. The game mainly cut wrestlers who no longer work for WWE, and those removed weren’t popular enough to remain as Legends. Longtime fans will likely be more disappointed by the removal of some classic Legends – many are iconic figures from wrestling history. Finally, the few wrestlers removed from the WWE 2K25 downloadable content were never associated with the organization, so their removal was anticipated.

Okay, so WWE 2K26 is losing a few wrestlers, but honestly, there still seem to be tons to choose from, which is great! What I’m really excited about is the WWE Draft being added to Universe mode – that’s going to add so much realism and fun. And MyRise is getting a huge update! They’re giving us a completely new story where you play as a returning Superstar, and Paul Heyman is going to be a major villain in it. Seriously, I can’t wait to check all of this out!
