The Serious Sam series, developed by Croatian studio Croteam, is known for its fast-paced, over-the-top action where players battle huge groups of enemies. The games are tied together by a sci-fi story about time travel and the hero, Sam “Serious” Stone. Over the years, the series has grown with updated versions, side games, and even virtual reality releases. Recent main installments have played with the series’ history, introducing prequels that change the established timeline. The latest main game, Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem, released in 2022, was a collaboration between Croteam and Timelock Studio.

If Shatterverse is only for PC, it might be a smaller spin-off title like past Serious Sam games such as Tormental or The Greek Encounter, as the main Serious Sam games usually release on multiple platforms.
