ARC Raiders Players Spot Massive UFO After New Update

Players of ARC Raiders have discovered a massive, unidentified flying object in the game after the recent “Shrouded Sky” update. The community was anticipating the arrival of the Emperor, a significantly larger ARC enemy, but this new UFO appearing during the game’s Hurricane Map Condition has led many to believe a different kind of threat is coming.

Embark Studios recently launched its second major update for ARC Raiders this year, following the January release of ‘Headwinds.’ The new update, called ‘Shrouded Sky,’ introduces two challenging new enemy types and a dangerous ‘Hurricane’ map condition. Players have also spotted a mysterious and potentially threatening presence in the game’s skies since the update went live.

ARC Raiders Player Spots Mysterious UFO

The new Hurricane map condition in ARC Raiders makes exploring the surface much more dangerous. Players will face reduced visibility, strong winds that impact thrown items and enemy movement, and constant shield damage from debris. While the developers haven’t said anything about it, a player spotted two blue lights in the sky during the storm, resembling a large spaceship. Many believe this is a hint at a new enemy or challenge coming to the game.

Initially, these blue lights appeared to be two distinct objects, but a closer look suggests it’s actually one massive UFO. Considering the most challenging enemies in ARC Raiders currently are the Queen and Matriarch (besides the formidable Emperor spotted near Blue Gate), this huge UFO has understandably frightened players. One user asked if it was real, while another described it as unsettling. Many believe it could be a hint at the upcoming April update, Riven Tides.

Embark Studios shared its plans for ARC Raiders earlier this year, outlining four big content updates leading up to 2026. With two updates already released, the next, called Flashpoint, is coming in March and will introduce a new enemy type. However, players are especially looking forward to the Riven Tides update in April. This update promises a brand-new map and a large, powerful enemy. While many thought this new enemy would be the Emperor – a massive machine seen near Blue Gate – Embark has surprised everyone with hints of a large, flying enemy called Shrouded Sky.

Even though we won’t know the next major enemy for a couple of months, players are already busy dealing with the two new threats introduced in this week’s Shrouded Sky update. The Firefly, a flying, flame-throwing machine, is proving to be a dangerous opponent, quickly defeating Raiders. And the Comet, a much bigger version of the Pops, is a heavily armored outdoor enemy that explodes with devastating force – you’ll need to find cover to survive!
