While exploring the West Wing in Resident Evil Requiem, players will come across a door with a wheel west of the Filing Room. When Grace tries to use the wheel, it breaks, trapping her and blocking further progress. Fortunately, there’s a way to unlock the Cold Storage room, allowing players to continue.

To unlock Cold Storage, you’ll need the Wrench. You can find it by first going through the East Wing to get the Level 1 Security Keycard from the upper floor. Then, head back to the ground floor of the West Wing to pick up the Wrench.

From inside the West Wing, walk down the hallway to the west, passing the Parlor and Kitchen. You’ll come to a secure door that requires the wristband you got from the East Wing to open. Once inside, enter the Custodian’s Office – it’s the first room on your right. The wrench you need is on the same desk as the typewriter.

Now that you have the Wrench, return to the handwheel door. Use the Wrench on the hexagonal part of the door to unlock it. Inside, you’ll find the Artificial Heart, which you’ll need to solve a puzzle later in the East Wing.
