How to Get a Tesserae Tree in Fields of Mistria

As a Fields of Mistria fan, I’m always impressed by how many ways there are to build up your farm! Between all the different crops, animals, and helpful tools like the Auto Feeder, there’s always something to do. The latest big update, 0.15.0, added a bunch of these time-savers, and honestly, one of them really surprised me – I definitely wasn’t expecting it!

The Tesserae Tree is a one-of-a-kind plant that actually grows money! Getting one isn’t easy, though – it takes a lot of time and careful work. Here’s a guide on how to obtain and use a Tesserae Tree in Fields of Mistria.

How to Unlock Tesserae Tree in Fields of Mistria

Just a reminder that if you want to access the Tesserae Tree in Fields of Mistria, you’ll need to finish all the exhibits in the Museum’s Flora Wing first.

If you haven’t used it before, the Museum is a place in the northwest part of the map, in an area called The Narrows (near the Mines). Errol runs the Museum, and you can give him artifacts you find. He’ll reward you with Renown points later that same day for each donation.

The museum has four main sections: Archaeology, Fish, Plants, and Insects. Each section is broken down into smaller collections called ‘sets’. For instance, the Insect section includes sets like the Summer Insects, Rare Insects, and Deep Woods Insects, which are found in specific seasons or locations. Completing a set earns you special rewards like furniture, food, and crafting recipes.

To get the Tesserae Tree, you need to complete all 18 collections in the Flora Wing. This means gathering every type of crop and foraged item throughout all seasons and in every environment, so it will take a while.

How to Grow and Harvest Tesserae Tree in Fields of Mistria

After completing all the collections in the Museum’s Flora Wing, you’ll receive a Tesserae Tree as a thank you! Right now, this is the only way to get one – you can’t buy, grow, or find them anywhere else. We’ll update this guide if that changes with future game updates.

The Tesserae Tree is a potted plant you can keep inside. It produces 100 Tesserae every three days, which isn’t a huge amount of in-game currency. However, getting a small, free boost of Tesserae a few times a week is nice, and the tree also looks beautiful as a decoration in your home.
