After you get a dragon in Chapter 11, the Witches (through Hernand Faction Quests) will give you a new quest called “Wings of Iron”. The quest description, asking you to “Decipher the records analyzed by the Witches,” simply means you need to go to the Kilnden Workshop in Hernand.
You can create Abyssal Fusion Dragon Armor at Grimnir’s Kuku Shop in Hernand, at the Kilnden Workshop. To do this, you’ll need to gather several ingredients, which are listed below to help you build the armor and power up your dragon.

How to Make the Small Kuku A.T.A.G.
Find Marek at the Zargan Tankworks, west of Gorthak, to obtain the Small Kuku A.T.A.G. Blueprint.
Now that you’ve checked the Small Kuku A.T.A.G. Blueprints, go to Grimnir’s Kuku Shop in Hernand to build it. You’ll need one Kuku Pot, one Abyss Cell, five Cogwheels, and five Small Batteries.
How to Get the Golden Star’s Component
You’ll get the Golden Star Component automatically after beating Golden Star, the boss in Chapter 11’s Master of a Forgotten Land. This means you’ll have it before you even reach the dragon.
How to Get Aeserion’s Scales
Travel to Deleysia and find the Serpent Shrine in Dewhaven, located on the southwest island (shown on the map). There, you can start the Shackled God Faction Quest and also find Aeserion’s Scales.
Grab the Aeserion’s Scales using the L3 button, then press Triangle or Y to put them into the Kuku Pot. Bring the sealed scales back to Grimnir’s Kuku Shop in Hernand – you’ll need them as crafting material.
How to Get the Power Core – Ore of Resipiscence
You can get the Power Core – Ore of Resipiscence by defeating Runewalkers and other stone golems found in the Abyss. They drop randomly, but we found one by defeating Vordis the Runewalker during the Lake Kharonso faction quest, ‘Destroyed Barrier Stone,’ in Scholastone.
After gathering all the necessary ingredients, return to Grimnir’s Kuku Shop in Hernand to create the Abyssal Fusion. Once you have the crafted item, go to the Nest of Valor in the northern part of the Abyss. This will trigger a cutscene where Blackstar receives his new armor.
What Does the Abyssal Fusion Armor Do in Crimson Desert?
Sadly, combining with the Abyssal Fusion doesn’t unlock any new powers for Blackstar. It won’t improve his speed, extend his flight duration, or shorten his extremely long 50-minute cooldown.
Abyssal Fusion simply boosts Blackstar’s defense, letting him withstand more attacks. This is especially helpful when clearing areas with lots of aerial defenses, so it’s best to upgrade it before moving forward in Chapter 11.
