Ryukishi07, the writer for Silent Hill f, has created an exclusive new ending that will only be available in the upcoming manga version of the game. Silent Hill f, launching in 2025 from Konami and NeoBards Entertainment, offers a fresh perspective on the classic survival horror series. Unlike previous installments set in the American town of Silent Hill, this game is set in 1960s Japan. Players will follow Hinako Shimizu, a high school student who discovers her town shrouded in the series’ signature fog and populated by terrifying monsters.
In Silent Hill f, Hinako’s story can end in five different ways, with some outcomes being quite disturbing. Like many horror games, not every ending is cheerful, and Silent Hill f is no exception. The game encourages replayability; players will initially unlock one ending, then another with a second playthrough, and the final three require playing in New Game Plus mode. Seeing all five endings takes considerable effort, and some players may not be willing to put in the time to experience everything the game offers.
Silent Hill f’s Sixth Ending
Konami recently celebrated six months since the release of Silent Hill f with a special announcement: a sixth ending has been written for the game by Ryukishi07, but it will only appear in the manga adaptation. The manga will feature artwork by Ame Gokin, and a first look at the art has been revealed. It will be published chapter by chapter on Young Ace UP. While Konami hasn’t announced when the manga will be released or if it will be available outside of Japan, fans are hoping it won’t be limited to a Japanese audience, especially given the positive response to Silent Hill f. Hopefully, Konami will share more details soon so fans worldwide can enjoy the new ending.

The new ending in the Silent Hill f manga is intriguing, and it will be fascinating to see how it compares to other possibilities explored for the game. Ryukishi07 might be using the manga format to create something that wouldn’t have been possible within the game’s limitations. It’s also possible this ending was developed after the game was released, giving the manga a chance to offer a unique perspective. Even if you loved the game, this new ending could be a great reason to check out the manga. Many gamers don’t regularly read manga, even when it’s based on a favorite game. With its compelling story, Silent Hill f was a standout horror game in 2025, and the promise of a different ending is a compelling reason to explore the manga adaptation.
The Silent Hill series is experiencing a revival. After being largely ignored by Konami for years, the company is now heavily investing in it. In 2024, they teamed up with Bloober Team to remake Silent Hill 2, and Silent Hill f was released in 2025. More games are planned for yearly release on PS5 and PC, though Silent Hill: Townfall won’t be available on Xbox at first. Bloober Team is also working on a remake of the very first Silent Hill game, but details are still scarce. Fans are enjoying this influx of new content, and if Konami maintains a high level of quality, the series has the potential to attract a whole new audience.
