Brotato: All Stats, Explained

As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I must say that Brotato has truly caught my attention. The intricate mechanics and the plethora of stats to tinker with have me hooked! The game’s focus on progression is something I appreciate, as it allows for a satisfying sense of growth throughout each run.

The term “Brotato” refers to an action-packed game involving maneuvering through swarms of adversaries, constructing potent structures with six distinct weapon types and various additional tools – all while gathering anything that falls within your grasp.

The game focuses a lot on progression, with three different methods of in-run progression (leveling up, buying weapons, and buying items). The underlying system surrounding all these mechanics consists of 17 stats that increase and decrease based on different criteria.

How Does Harvesting Work In Brotato?

Brotato: All Stats, Explained

Gathering resources is quite beneficial, especially at the beginning of gameplay. It can significantly accelerate progress, allowing you to defeat more enemies and accumulate more materials for later waves. In the initial stages, gaining 20, 30, or even 50 resources/experience points is a significant advantage due to the amount of resources collected per wave ranging from 50 to 100. If a player boosts their Gathering skill enough at the start, they can amass substantial resources quickly, enabling them to advance more swiftly, eliminate more enemies, and ultimately collect more resources for subsequent waves. This process establishes a self-sustaining cycle, but its effectiveness decreases significantly after wave 10.

Should the player choose to surpass wave 20 and engage in endless mode, the gathering rate progressively diminishes rather than amplifies, reaching zero by wave 25. Conversely, if the player’s Harvesting stat takes on a negative value, they will forfeit that quantity of experience points (XP) and resources. However, this decrease will not cause them to lose a level.

How Does Elemental Damage Work In Brotato?

Brotato: All Stats, Explained

In the game, Elemental Damage is a crucial stat for players who could use some assistance in overcoming enemies. It’s vital to understand that this type of damage solely impacts weapons labeled ‘Elemental’, like the Wand, Icicle, or Fireball, among others.

Boosting your Elemental Damage enhances the total damage that all weapons labeled as ‘Elemental’ can inflict. Moreover, should these weapons cause a ‘burn’ effect, the damage inflicted by this burn will rise proportionately with your Elemental Damage.

If your equipment doesn’t possess the “Elemental” attribute, lowering the “Elemental Damage” stat won’t affect you, because such adjustments affect only items with the Elemental tag.
