So, I just started playing the City Town DLC for Hello Kitty Island Adventure, and the first thing I got was the Imagination Cafe! It’s awesome – I can cook up a bunch of new recipes at the Chef Station. The only bummer is, I can’t actually sell the food to my friends right away, which is a little frustrating, but I’m sure I’ll unlock that ability soon!

How to Raise Usahana’s Friendship Level

You’ll unlock the “Imagination Cafe” quest simply by becoming good friends with Usahana – specifically, when your friendship level reaches 6. At first, you could raise your friendship by giving her small gifts like Colorpillars, but now you can give her more valuable two-heart gifts, such as Mochi, to speed things up.

You can learn the Mochi Recipe by becoming friends with Usahana! Once your friendship level with her reaches 3, you’ll unlock the “A Whole New Menu” quest, which then unlocks the recipe. After that, you can make Mochi at the Chef’s Station in the Imagination Cafe. Usahana loves all kinds of Mochi, and each one will give her a two-heart friendship boost, so feel free to try out different flavors!

How to Complete the Imagination Cafe Quest in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

After you start the “Imagination Cafe” quest, locate Usahana in City Town and speak to her. She’ll inquire about the cafe’s progress and your experience with making Mochi, then she’ll share a list of ingredients needed to continue. Here’s what you’ll need to gather:

  • 5 Rice Flour or 1 Rice
  • 1 Pineapple
  • 1 Spinip
  • 1 Coral Milk
  • 1 Toasted Almond
  • 1 Glow Berry
  • 1 Stick

If you have all the ingredients, you can go talk to Usahana and start cooking at the Imagination Cafe for the quest. If not, you’ll need to gather them first before talking to her.

After you collect all the ingredients, speak to Usahana once more. She’ll mention how tasty the Mochi could be, and then guide you to the Imagination Cafe. Chat with her there to find out what kind of Mochi she wants you to make.

As part of the Imagination Cafe quest, Usahana asks you to make her two types of Mochi. First, create and give her a Tropical Mochi, then cook and serve her a Veggie Mochi. You’ll find the recipes for both below.

You don’t need to give Usahana the Mochi right away. First, make them, then talk to her. She’ll mention a new Dango Recipe and ask you to create a Dango with at least some magical properties.

To continue, you need to make a Dango using at least one Magical Mochi. You can do this by combining the three different mochi flavors you already made. After it’s finished, give the Dango to Usahana.

Once you give Usahana the Dango, you’ll finish the “Imagination Cafe” quest. She’ll then tell you about the cafe and confirm that it’s ready for a practice run with your friends.
