How to Get City Keys in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

In Hello Kitty Island Adventure, the City Town Sewers have lots of locked doors that hide puzzle rooms. You’ll need to find City Keys to open them—one key per door—and there are thirteen doors in total, so you’ll need to collect thirteen keys.

This guide explains how to get all the City Keys in Hello Kitty Island Adventure. You’ll find one from Usahana during your first sewer quest, six hidden around City Town and the Sewer, and others inside the Imagination Cafe.

Where to Find City Keys in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

Getting a City Key During the Above and Below Quest

You’ll first enter the City Town Sewers while completing the “Above and Below” quest. During this quest, Usahana will give you a City Key, which you’ll need to unlock the puzzle door close to the Main Sewer Mailbox.

This key will unlock only one specific door. To open any other doors, you’ll need to obtain additional City Keys using one of these methods.

All City Keys in City Town

City Town holds three City Keys that are definitely hidden somewhere. You’ll find two of them in the main areas of town, and the third is tucked away on the rooftops.

3 On top of a bush in one of the rooftop gardens on the right side of City Town.

All City Keys in City Town Sewers

Okay, so I was exploring the City Town Sewers, and I managed to find three more City Keys! The first one was pretty easy to spot, near the top of the sewer system close to one of the doors that leads to the Main Sewer. The second key was a little further down, over in the eastern section, and the third one was all the way at the bottom. It took a bit of searching, but I got them all!

2 On a platform two levels beneath the Upper Sewers mailbox.
3 On a raised platform at the very bottom of the City Town Sewer system.

How to Get City Keys from Imagination Cafe

There are six City Keys hidden in the area between City Town and the City Town Sewers, but you’ll need more than six keys to open all the doors inside the Sewers. The best way to get the extra keys is by completing orders at the Imagination Cafe.

Sometimes, after you finish serving a customer at the cafe, they’ll give you a little something extra. Usually, it’s an ingredient you can use in the cafe, but occasionally you might receive a City Key.

How to Use City Keys in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

City Keys unlock the locked doors within the City Town Sewers. Simply approach a locked door while carrying a City Key in your inventory, and an icon will appear on your screen indicating you can use it.

To unlock the door with your City Key, press the button next to the bubble. A message will pop up asking if you’re sure you want to use it on that door. Click “Yes” to confirm and unlock the door.
