How to Build the T&C Reno Home Supply in Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream

A really enjoyable part of Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, the new game from Nintendo that fans of the original 3DS game have been waiting for, is getting to design the lives of the Mii characters who live on your island.

This involves letting players choose different clothes, develop unique personalities for their characters, influence their social interactions, and design their homes. While it doesn’t offer quite the same level of customization as games like Animal Crossing, it still provides a similar satisfying experience.

Plus, you don’t have to work hand over foot to pay off Tom Nook.

You won’t be able to customize your home right away. It’s a feature you unlock as you play. Luckily, it doesn’t take too long to unlock, though the process might seem a bit unclear at first.

This guide explains how to unlock the T&C Reno Home Supply shop. We’ll cover what the shop offers, the requirements for unlocking it, and the most effective method to do so.

What is the T&C Reno Home Supply

Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream features a variety of shops on your island.

The game features several useful shops. A food mart is available right away, and you’ll soon unlock the Wear and Wardrobe shop for clothing and customization options.

Next up is T&C Reno Home Supply, where you can decorate your Mii’s house with different interior design options. They have a good range of styles available right away, and a new special selection each week.

You can also customize each design with different colors to make sure it reflects the personality and style you want for your Mii.

That all sounds good, but let’s discuss how you can get into T&C Reno Home Supply.

How to Unlock the T&C Reno Home Supply

To unlock access to T&C Reno Home Supply, you need to meet two requirements. First, your island needs to have four Mii characters living on it. Don’t worry, you don’t need to do anything specific to achieve this – just keep playing the game, and you’ll naturally reach four residents.

The second, more challenging requirement is to get your Miis to form two friendships. This means they need to be compatible and genuinely like spending time together.

If you want your Mii characters to become friends, you’ll need to bring them together and encourage them to spend time interacting. It takes a little effort to get them acquainted and hang out consistently, but if their personalities click, they’ll naturally form a bond over time.

Feel free to actively encourage them to join in. If you’re eager to decorate homes quickly, taking the initiative is the most effective approach.

Interestingly, my wife and I were the very first two Miis to become friends in my game. When I created her Mii, I told the game we were in a relationship, and it seemed to make the process of becoming friends much smoother for us than with other characters.

If you spend enough time connecting Miis and building their friendships, you’ll be able to unlock and construct the T&C Reno Home Supply!

After you make a second friend, you’ll need to chat with a Mii to unlock the T&C Reno Home Supply. Feel free to delete Miis who don’t quite fit in with your island – I had to do the same thing to speed things up!
