The popular monster-catching series has a new hit on the Nintendo Switch 2: Pokopia. It became one of the fastest-selling games ever, selling 2.2 million copies worldwide in just four days. Players are loving the game’s building tools, creating amazing structures – including replicas of real places like Taco Bell and famous locations from the Pokemon world. Recently, one player showed their dedication by building a shrine in the game to Ditto, the star Pokemon.
Pokopia Player Builds Incredible Church Devoted to Ditto
Reddit user JonesySteelblade recently shared photos of their creative “Church of Ditto” build on the Pokopia subreddit. The church is located along the main road in Rocky Ridges and features a classic design with steeple roofs and stained-glass windows. Inside, the builder cleverly used park benches from Pokopia to create rows of pews, leading to an altar at the back. They even included symbolic bread and wine on a side table, using items available in the game.
A stunning church built within the game Pokopia sparked humorous reactions from other players online. One commenter joked that the game’s Pokémon villagers had suddenly become religious just a month after the game launched, and others began creating religious phrases inspired by the church. The Pokopia project was very popular on the subreddit, receiving almost 10,000 upvotes.
Since its release in early March, Pokopia has inspired a lot of creativity from fans. Players have been building impressive things like real-world restaurants, useful buildings, and even entire apartment complexes for their Pokémon villagers. Popular recreations include chains like Olive Garden and Taco Bell. Some ambitious players have gone even further, tackling huge projects like completely removing the ocean from the game world.
