As a Palia player, I’m totally captivated by the Elderwood! It’s amazing how much life thrives there, even with this creeping corruption trying to ruin everything. I’ve run into so many cool creatures while exploring, but the Blushing Batterfly is one I definitely remember – it’s just so unique and pretty!
All Blushing Batterfly Locations in Palia
Okay, so I’ve been trying to catch the Blushing Batterfly in Palia, and let me tell you, it’s a bit of a hunt! It’s one of the cool, unique butterflies you can find in the Elderwood, so you need to stock up on Smoke Bombs, lures, and especially Buzzy Jars – those are essential for finding the rarer bugs. The Batterfly itself isn’t super rare, but it only spawns in the caves, and I’ve had the most luck around the Elderwood Central Stables. Definitely worth checking there if you’re trying to add it to your collection!
The Blushing Batterfly is easily spooked and will fly away if disturbed, so Sticky Smoke Bombs are best for slowing down quick-moving bugs. But if you find an infected Blushing Batterfly, you can catch it by combining Elderwood Smoke Bombs with either the Elderwood Potion or a Bag of Illusion.
As a bug-catching enthusiast, I’m super excited about getting my first Blushing Batterfly! Not only is it a cool bug to have, but it actually helps me level up and unlock some awesome achievements – like the Advanced, Expert, and Master Bug Catcher titles. Plus, every bug I catch gets me closer to earning those shiny Bug Catching Guild Medals, so I’m trying to catch ’em all!
You can find the Blushing Batterfly as a rare reward from the Insect Mystery Bag. Palians can buy this bag with Infected Essence at Subira’s Goods shop, located at the Elderwood Central Stables. There are six different Mystery Bags available in total.
How to Use the Blushing Batterfly in Palia
Okay, so I finally got my hands on a Blushing Batterfly, which is awesome! Now I’m trying to figure out what to do with it. It turns out there are a bunch of uses! Mostly, you need it for a couple of quests. Tamala gives you the “A Flush of Blush” daily quest and the “Where the Hearth Is” quest, but you can only get those after you finish “Something Wicked” first. It’s a bit of a chain, but worth it to get those rewards!
For the second task, you’ll need a rare, Star-Quality version of the item. Keep an eye out for these – they glow and make a distinct chime sound to show how special they are. If you find a Star-Quality Blushing Batterfly, you can display it as a decoration in your home by placing it in a terrarium on your Housing Plot.
Giving gifts to Villagers like Auni, Elousia, and Ulfe will help you become friends with them faster. A great daily gift to give is a Blushing Butterfly.
You can use the Blushing Batterfly to make two items: QualityUp Fertilizer and Calathea Tint. The recipe for the Calathea Tint is automatically available at the Tint Crafter. To get the recipe for the fertilizer, visit Badruu’s Gardening Guild shop. You can create the fertilizer there by using any bug – including the Blushing Batterfly – at the Worktable, or by putting a sweet treat or fruit into the Worm Farm.
