Lonely Player Anomaly Commission Guide In NTE (Wandering Puppet Locations)

The Lonely Player Anomaly Commission sends you to Clement Academy. You’ll need to go there at night and play a game against eight Wandering Puppets. Once that’s done, go to the Auditorium to finish the mission and resolve the anomaly.

Lonely Player Anomaly Commission In NTE

To finish the Lonely Player Anomaly Commission in NTE, you need to invite eight Lost Puppets by completing their hidden quests. Here’s a list of the eight Puppets you’ll need to find:

  • Garden Puppet
  • Gym Puppet
  • Running Track Puppet
  • Basketball Court Puppet
  • Hallway Puppet
  • Music Room Puppet
  • Classroom Puppet
  • Cooking Class Puppet

Once done, return to the Auditorium to complete the game.

The puppet is only active between 8 PM and 6 AM. If you lose a game, it could be because it’s outside of those hours.

Before you start looking for the puppets, there are a few quick tasks you can complete to help the Lonely Player Anomaly Commission. These tasks are:

  • Get Empathy Eye Drops
  • Find Cheese the Camera
  • Help Peepy find a home

How To Get Empathy Eye Drops In NTE

Head out to the field and locate the student who lost her diary. When you speak with her, she’ll ask you to use Empathy Eye Drops to help find it. Keep applying the eye drops until you discover where the diary is hidden.

To find the student diary, head to the row of buildings and turn onto the road immediately to the right of the one with the stairs. You’ll quickly reach a small garden with trees.

On the bench is the Lost Diary. Pick it up, but don’t leave yet.

To see the Wandering Puppets, switch the time to after 8:00 PM if it’s currently daytime. This will change the game to nighttime, when they appear.

Garden Puppet In NTE

You’ll find a puppet standing by the tree. As you get closer, it will vanish. The point of this game is to try and catch the puppet even though you can’t see it.

There are multiple ways to catch this puppet:

  • Stand still until the puppet bumps into you.
  • Pay attention to the floor to see footprints, which indicate where the puppet is going.
  • Turn the volume up and listen to where the footsteps are the loudest. The puppet would be around that area.

Once you find it, interact by pressing the Invite Puppet button.

After that, go back to the student and hand her the diary. She’ll give you the Empathy Eye Drop to show her gratitude.

Gym Puppet In NTE

If you’re standing next to the girl, you’ll see a gym building. Go inside using the door that’s farthest away from where you are.

You’ll know you’ve found the correct door when you see five puppets standing near it.

You’ll find something blocking your path when you try to enter. Hit the invisible barrier, and it will reveal a puppet. This shows you what you need to do in this game: find hidden puppets all around the gym.

I’m so glad we already have the Empathy Eye Drop! It’s amazing because it lets you actually see things the way the invisible puppet does – you get their point of view!

The first puppet is by the net.

The second puppet is by the net on the other side of the stage.

Go to the green door and walk forward towards the net – you’ll find the hidden puppet there.

The third puppet is up the ladder, overlooking the stage.

The fourth puppet is on the stage.

Now, when you exit, the puppets outside will disappear.

Use the eye drops one more time to locate the last puppet. When you find it, you’ll be able to interact with it and add it to your collection.

Running Track Puppet In NTE

Leave the gym and locate the puppet on the running track. Start the game by pressing the Start Race button. To win, you need to reach the finish line while keeping the puppet in view of your camera. If you look away from the puppet, it will automatically finish the race.

Before the race starts, position your camera for the best view. Watch out for puppets that might pop up on the track and block your runner!

Basketball Court Puppet In NTE

Once done running, look ahead to see the basketball court.

It’s located southwest of the runner’s start point.

This is the simplest step: just wait until the puppet is positioned between the two designated areas. Once it’s there, you can select ‘Invite Puppet’.

Hallway Puppet In NTE

Go back to where you found the student who lost their diary. Near the building with the stairs, you’ll find a door that leads inside. Before you go in, remember you need to have Cheese the camera – I mentioned this at the beginning of these instructions.

You’ll notice a puppet far down the hallway. If you get closer, it will fall apart, and you’ll keep bumping into things. The flickering wind effect shows something is rushing past you quickly, causing the constant pushing.

Use the cheese to freeze time and uncover the puppet. You get only one attempt, so be careful and don’t make a mistake.

Music Room Puppet In NTE

Still in the same building, go upstairs to 3F.

Next to the stairs is a music room.

To change the room, simply walk in a circle, following the area with a different floor color. If you’d like to figure out the piano puzzle on your own, just stand still and pay close attention to the melody. The music will change each time the room transforms.

In total, there are three tunes to replicate.

Once ready, keep circling. This will slowly change the room.

Keep circling, and soon you’ll see the puppet playing a piano.

Now, try to play the same melodies you were playing while moving around the room. The puppet will use the first ten keys, and you need to recreate three different tunes. Here’s how to do it:

  • Tune 1: 4 – 10 – 8 – 6 – 1 – 10 – 7 – 5
  • Tune 2: 1 – 5 – 10 – 9 – 10 – 5 – 10 – 5 – 1 – 5 – 10 – 9 – 10 – 5 – 10 – 5
  • Tune 3: 8 – 7 – 5 – 7 – 8 – 7 – 5 – 8 – 7 – 5

After finishing each tuning step, be sure to click “OK”. If you do it right, you’ll see a green smiley face where indicated.

If replication fails because it’s past 6 AM, adjust the time to 8 PM and start the process again from Tune 1.

Classroom Puppet In NTE

Leave the building and go into the one located to the southeast. As you get closer to the puppet, it will continue to move until it vanishes.

Enter the classroom at the end of the hallway.

Head to the door at the back and open it.

As you enter, the class will change, and there will be a puppet on the table. Interact with it.

Go to the door again to switch class.

Now, pick up the puppet on the cabinet. Then, switch classes again.

Go to the corner locker and grab the puppet. Then, head through the door to get to your next class, like you normally do.

This time, the puppet is hidden behind a vase.

Attack the vase and claim the puppet.

Okay, so heading through the back door now, I found what looks like a storage room. I’ve just invited Puppet, and I think that’s everything here, so I’m going to head out of the building now.

Cooking Class Puppet In NTE

Next, head to the building in the northwest and go up to the third floor. You’ll find a cooking class where you need to figure out which cup is hiding the ball.

You can either try to track the cup on your own, or make an educated guess. However, if you’ve completed the steps I outlined earlier, you can ask Peepy for assistance.

Peepy will tell you exactly which cup is the right one, even without you keeping track of them.

Auditorium Puppet In NTE

Once you’ve played with all eight puppets, go back to the Auditorium and talk to the puppet that’s walking around on stage.

Wait until the puppet stops moving on the audience chair, then approach it.

To finish the ‘Lonely Player’ mission in NTE, you’ll need to interact with the final puppet. It’s a pretty lengthy quest, but what I really appreciate is that it doesn’t hold your hand – you have to solve the puzzles and figure things out on your own.
