As the leading racing game of 2026, it’s generating a lot of excitement among gamers on all platforms – and it’s even coming to PlayStation 5! However, be prepared for a potentially lengthy installation process due to its large file size.
By mid-April, Forza Horizon 6 had already received over 500,000 pre-orders on Steam, demonstrating the huge excitement surrounding its setting. The game, which takes place in a fictionalized Tokyo and surrounding areas, is the type of experience many players requested from developer Playground Games. Aside from a few concerns about car customization options, Forza Horizon 6 appears poised to be a massive hit.
Forza Horizon 6 Install Size Revealed, It Is Substantial
Players will need a significant amount of storage space for Forza Horizon 6: around 144 GB on Xbox Series X/S and 156 GB on PC (through Steam or the Xbox App). This information comes as preloading has begun for those with access through the Microsoft Store or Game Pass, ahead of the game’s May 15th release. Given that storage is currently expensive, this is a large requirement, especially for fast SSDs. It’s also worth noting that Forza Horizon 5 grew considerably over time, with the number of cars nearly doubling. We can expect Horizon 6 to do the same, so the initial 150 GB is likely just the beginning of its storage needs.
