The Sea Prisoner is a powerful boss found in the game NTE: Neverness to Everness. Players investigating the Deep Blue Sorrow Anomaly Commission in Hethereau City’s New Herland District will encounter it. Finding the boss arena can be challenging; it requires driving a four-wheel drive vehicle along a particular road, but the game doesn’t explicitly guide players to do so, which often causes confusion.
This guide explains how to locate and defeat the Sea Prisoner boss, which is required to finish the Deep Blue Sorrow anomaly commission.

- Purchase a car in NTE.

How to Defeat Sea Prisoner in NTE
Phase 1
- The Sea Prisoner is weak to Anima damage, which means characters like Mint, Jiuyuan, and Nanally hard counter this boss.
- The best window of opportunity for getting the most damage in is when the Sea Prisoner jumps up and then drops down into the water before slowly coming back up.
- The Sea Prisoner will occasionally jump up in the air and send multiple balls of red water towards you. Avoid these using dodge.
- When the boss dives underwater and a vortex appears under your feet, prepare to dodge to trigger the i-frames to avoid damage when the whale comes back up from directly underneath you. While it is possible to outrun this attack, the suction force and the water spouts that erupt around the vortex make this difficult.
- Occasionally, the Sea Prisoner will create a vortex underneath you to trap you in place and then approach in a straight line in order to ram you headfirst. Parry this attack by using any Redirect Skill, Ultimate, or Basic Attack when the boss comes near you to perfectly counter this move and get some free damage in.
While Nanally, Jiuyuan, Sakiri, and the main character (Zero) make a powerful team against the Sea Prisoner, a well-constructed team of any kind should also be effective.
Phase 2
- When the Sea Prisoner is brought down to half health, the sky will go dark, it will start raining, and phase 2 will trigger. In this phase, Sea Prisoner will become more aggressive and gain access to some new attacks.
- Sea Prisoner will throw a bright red anchor at you in a straight line from high above. Avoid it using dodge.
- The boss will create multiple tsunami waves of red water and direct them toward you. Do not run away from these attacks, but rely on dodging to i-frame the damage because the timing is very generous.
