SEO: The Kid Who Vanished Fieldwork Quest In Indiana Jones And The Great Circle

As an old-time adventurer who’s seen more temples than I care to count, I must say that this pipe puzzle in the Great Circle is quite the challenge! But fear not, young ‘un, for I’ve navigated through many a tricky maze and have come out on top every time.

After Gina’s trip to Tongdang’s Hut for a breathing apparatus, she informs Indy that Sunan’s nephew has mysteriously disappeared from the Village, leading to The Kid Who Vanished Investigation in the adventure titled Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

During this side mission, Indiana Jones and Gina are tasked with investigating a temple situated within the Wat Si Sawai district, with the aim of finding Aran. Given its history as a training ground for warriors, expect an abundance of intricate riddles, with a particular emphasis on puzzles involving pipes.

Once you’ve initiated the quest, look for the marker on your map leading you towards Tongdang’s Hut as your starting point. Search the surrounding area and continue moving forward until you reach the Tree House. Ascend the ladder inside and move the wooden plank to uncover a letter from Aran. Since you now know he’s in Wat Si Sawai, make your way there using the boat or any quick-travel sign available.

To ensure safety upon arriving at Wat Si Sawai in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, put on the Royal Army uniform. Failure to do so may require sneaking or fighting to enter the Khmer Warrior Temple. Once inside, continue until you come across a room filled with debris, where Aran’s voice can be heard. He will explain that he is trapped and requires assistance.

To open the door, take a left turn and pull the lever alongside Gina. Light up the wood using the lighter for improved visibility. Take the single Pipe Segment and insert it into the pipe opening to let water pass, thereby activating the nearby door. Proceed to another room where you’ll find a platform that’s jammed. Aran suggests lifting it so I can reach him.

How To Raise The Platform In Indiana Jones And The Great Circle

Starting from your current position, advance straight, then make a left turn and walk along the icy gears to access another section. Reach the overturned timber support and ascend to the hill on its left side. Continue walking until you spot a wooden platform, which is part of a massive gearwheel. Hop onto it promptly and then leap towards the space ahead. Wait for Gina to pass before leaping down to discover another Pipe Segment puzzle in the game “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle”.

Here’s how to solve it:

  • Turn the wheel found on the left side to activate the water source.
  • Grab the Pipe Segment and place it in the pipe slot in front of the closed door, which will open it.
  • Head inside to find another half-circle Pipe Segment.
  • Get out, and place the new Segment on the ground for now.
  • Grab the first Segment and put it in the other slot, then grab the half-circle one and put it in the first slot facing west.
  • Finally, push the giant cogwheel with Gina and pull the lever underneath to get out of the room.

Now that the platform is raised, you need to find Aran.

How To Reach Aran In Indiana Jones And The Great Circle

Upon solving the riddle, I made my way to the left, treading on the now-spinning gears beneath me as they propelled me upward towards a towering tree root. As the gear turned into an opening, I swiftly moved through it. With a mix of jumps and whip swings, I navigated my way up to the colossal cogwheel, where a challenging crawl underneath awaited. Passing through the door, I grasped the lever, offering aid to Gina as she ascended.

With the neighboring door shut, Indy and Gina need to work in unison to rotate the handle so they can enter. After descending the steps, proceed past the gears, then veer right. Grab the lever nearby to create a bridge; traverse it to encounter a large pipe conundrum. Solve this riddle to connect with Aran.

How To Solve The Pipe Puzzle In Indiana Jones And The Great Circle

To solve the pipe puzzle, you need to activate the left water source, as the right one is already activated, and find four Pipe Segments. First, climb the ladder to the left and rotate the lever to activate the left water source.

Two pipe segments are situated on the left and right sides of the room, respectively – you can access them by first ascending the stairs on the left side, then doing the same on the right. One of these segments is within the room, accompanied by a jar of torches (2). The remaining segment is enclosed behind a shut door (4). To retrieve the last one:

  • Place the T-shaped Pipe Segment in the first middle pipe slot facing east.
  • Place a half-circle Pipe Segment in the pipe slot near the closed door facing east as well.

Once the door is open, grab the final Pipe Segment to finally solve the puzzle.

At the conclusion of the puzzle, you’ll find three primary pipes. Each of these pipes empties into a drain. Indy needs to arrange the Pipe Sections so that all three major pipes are sending water to the three drains.

  • The first pipe slot in the middle is the T-shaped Segment (1).
  • The one under it is a half-circle Segment (3).
  • On the right side should be the other half-circle (2).
  • On the left side, place the straight Pipe Segment (4).

Simply, follow the placement shown in the images above.

Upon finishing the Khmer Pipes puzzle, proceed through the newly unveiled door to encounter Aran. Following a brief chat, he leads you to the hidden room he’s discovered, where an Ancient Relic awaits. In the end, make your way back to Uncle Sunan in the Village and inform him that Aran decided to remain at the temple for further exploration, thus concluding The Kid Who Vanished Fieldwork quest.
