Pokemon Fan Creates Alternate Mega Starmie Design

Now that Starmie has a Mega Evolution in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, a fan has designed their own unique version of its evolved form. The Pokemon community is famous for creating fan art, and the release of Pokemon Legends: Z-A late last year sparked a lot of creativity, with many fans sharing original designs inspired by the game.

The new game, Pokemon Legends: Z-A, takes place in Luminous City in the Kalos region and introduces some exciting gameplay changes. It also brings back Mega Evolutions, a popular feature from older games, and gives several Pokemon a Mega Evolution for the very first time. Starmie is one of these Pokemon, and its new, enhanced form has longer legs – a design choice that didn’t appeal to everyone.

Pokemon Fan Shares What Mega Starmie Would Look Like With Longer Arms Instead of Legs

I was so excited to see a fellow Pokémon fan, HertzBurst on Reddit, take on the challenge of designing a Mega Starmie! They shared their concept with everyone, and it’s really cool. The biggest change they made, based on the Starmie we see in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, was giving it longer arms instead of legs. It seems like a small thing, but it completely changes how Starmie looks, and a lot of people are already loving it!

This Starmie redesign has become very popular on the Pokémon subreddit, receiving over 4,500 upvotes. The creator, HertzBurst, shared a preview of how it might look in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, including an image showing the Pokémon appearing to walk on its arms. Many commenters said they liked this new design better than the original in the game, and some playfully compared its longer arms to Wario’s mustache.

Pokemon Fan Artists Are Being Inspired by Pokemon Winds and Waves

Lots of Pokémon fans have been sharing their artwork online lately. Beyond the excitement around Pokémon Legends: Z-A, the upcoming Pokémon Winds and Waves games are also inspiring a lot of creativity. The first trailer revealed the three starter Pokémon – Browt, Pombon, and Gecqua – and fans have been quick to create art based on them. Some are even designing what the evolved forms of these Generation 10 starters might look like.

It looks like fans will have to wait until 2027 for Pokemon Winds and Waves. Leaks suggest we won’t get many new details this year, so players are likely to keep revisiting older Pokemon games for enjoyment. People are already sharing fan art online, like on Reddit, and it will be interesting to see what other creative things the community comes up with in the future.
