Forza Horizon 6 is finished and ready for release later this month, Playground Games has confirmed. Along with this announcement, the developers detailed the different graphics settings players will have and gave a preview of the music available through the game’s radio stations, including both new and familiar ones. They also emphasized the accessibility features included in the game.
Forza Horizon 6 is now available to preload on Xbox Series X/S, and will be available to preload on PC via Steam shortly. Preloading lets you download the entire game before it officially launches. You’ll need at least 135GB of free space on Xbox Series X (130GB on Xbox Series S) and 160GB on PC. If you’ve already pre-ordered the game or have an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass subscription, you can start downloading it now.
Playground Games has detailed the graphics and performance options for Xbox Series X/S. On the more powerful Xbox Series X, ‘Quality’ mode prioritizes visual detail at 4K resolution with 30 frames per second, while ‘Performance’ mode aims for a smoother 60 frames per second at a dynamically adjusted 4K resolution. The Xbox Series S offers 1440p resolution at 40 frames per second in ‘Quality’ mode, and 1080p at 60 frames per second in ‘Performance’ mode.
As for the radio stations, the following will be available in Forza Horizon 6:
- Horizon Pulse
- Horizon Bass Arena
- Horizon Block Party
- Horizon XS
- Hospital Records
- Gacha City Radio
- Sub Pop Records
- Horizon Wave
- Horizon Opus
I’m so hyped for the radio stations in the new update! Playground Games hasn’t revealed every song yet, but it sounds like Gacha City Radio is going to be all about Japanese music – and even some classic J-pop! Horizon XS is looking awesome too, they’ve already announced bands like BABYMETAL, Rise Against, Linkin Park, and A Day to Remember will be featured. If you want to see the complete song lists for Horizon XS and Horizon Bass Arena, they’re up on the official website now.
Players who have enjoyed previous Forza Horizon games will be happy to know that most of the iconic cover cars from those games will be available right away in the new title. The McLaren Senna from Forza Horizon 4 is the only exception.
The developers also discussed accessibility features in Forza Horizon 6. In addition to standard options like AutoDrive and the returning AI assistant ANNA, a new Proximity Radar will help players avoid crashes by alerting them to cars in their blind spots. A major addition is High Contrast Mode, which makes key objects and landmarks stand out more and simplifies the on-screen visuals. Players can also expect familiar difficulty settings, including options to adjust Drivatar skill levels and enable auto-braking, similar to previous Forza Horizon games.
Forza Horizon 6 will be available on Xbox Series X/S and PC starting May 19, 2026, with a PlayStation 5 version coming afterward. If you haven’t seen it yet, you can now explore the complete open-world map of Japan featured in the game.
