As a long-time fan of Bleach, I must say that Part 3 of Thousand-Year Blood War has been a rollercoaster ride of emotions and thrilling action! From the moment Ichigo, Orihime, and Chad ran to the top of Welt, every episode felt like a masterclass in animation and storytelling.

I’ve followed this story since its early days, and it’s been incredible to see how far it’s come. The dramatic improvements to the anime production have earned it so much acclaim, and rightfully so! Each major beat in the story was given the spectacle and attention it deserved, with a ton of content that simply wasn’t in the manga.

One of my favorite moments was when Izuru Kira returned from the dead, or at least it seemed like he did! With holes burned out of his chest by Bazz-B’s firepower, he came back alive but very much dead. It was a moment that reminded me of how unpredictable this series can be, and I couldn’t help but chuckle at the sheer absurdity of it all.

Overall, Part 3 has been a fantastic addition to the Bleach anime, and I can’t wait to see what happens next in Part 4. But let me tell ya, if Nakk Le Vaar ever decides to do stand-up comedy, I’ll be the first one in line for tickets! Just imagine him cracking jokes about the Litreich’s top four generals – now that would be a sight to behold!

As a longtime BLEACH fan, I can’t contain my excitement as I delve into the latest installment of “The Conflict” from BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3 – The Visible Answer! Having followed this epic anime since its inception, I’ve eagerly awaited the climactic finale, and now it’s finally here on Hulu and Disney+. But beware, fellow enthusiasts, as this episode is packed with spoilers that will undoubtedly leave you breathless. Don’t miss out on the jaw-dropping twists and turns that lie ahead in this heart-pounding chapter of the BLEACH saga!

Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3 – The Conflict” marked a high point in the impressive run of this anime adaptation based on Tite Kubo’s masterpiece. This episode set up an intense showdown between Jugram Haschwalth, the Grand Master of the Sternritter, and Uryū Ishida. It also offered fans a long-awaited battle scene featuring Yoruichi, pitted against Askin Nakk Le Vaar. The finale hinted at the potential for a giant-slaying feat as Gerard Valkyrie fought several Captains and Lieutenants simultaneously. Additionally, characters who were previously injured in Part 2 made their return to the action.

In the final segment of the series, titled “The Calamity,” there was an astonishing display of animation that seems to hint at an even more intense level of production. The second half delved into resolving numerous conflicts that we can anticipate in the upcoming episodes, with several characters reappearing after a significant time off.

Uryū’s True Alignment

It Turns Out Uryū Was Never Really on Yhwach’s Side

After “The Visible Answer” concludes, Uryū’s father Ryūken stands in a cemetery, where Isshin Kurosaki appears in Shinigami attire and queries him if he plans to leave for Soul Society. In the meantime, Orihime and Chad locate Ichigo, who is with Haschwalth and Uryū. Haschwalth commands Uryū to eliminate the trio as proof of his loyalty, prompting him to aim at Ichigo, triggering another intense battle. However, this time, Uryū’s hesitation is evident. The following episode, “My Last Words,” provides insight into Uryū’s background, explaining his devotion to his Quincy heritage, the grief over his mother’s death, and the disintegration of his family. Additionally, we learn that his abilities hold the key to counteracting and ultimately defeating Yhwach’s power, which forms the basis for Uryu’s actions throughout this story arc.

Nine years ago, his survival during the Auswählen serves as evidence for this. Notably, other Star-Captains would exhibit a halo or “Heiligenschein” in their Full Transformations as Quincy, but Uryū did not, suggesting a fundamental distinction from his fellow Sternritter. The halo is commonly interpreted as a symbol of innocence or goodness, being associated with the divine nature of angels and so on, which is the theme used to develop the characters and designs of Yhwach’s Star-Captains. Therefore, Uryū’s absence of such a symbol given his role as a traitor adds an intriguing twist to his character.

“It’s Not Like These Are My Last Words”

Uryu Sends Ichigo to the Boss Chamber Where the Bambies Are Badly Beaten

Following a captivating, dance-like fight that left sections of the castle in ruins, Ichigo seeks an explanation from Uryu as to why he joined the Quincies initially. However, Uryu evades the question and reveals instead about a tool called the Gate of the Sun, located five floors below in Wahr Welt, which serves as a portal for the Wandenreich to invade the Living World. He instructs them to use his key to return home, but they decline, causing Haschwalth to witness Uryu attempting to persuade the enemy to retreat. In anticipation of this scenario, Haschwalth had already destroyed the Gate of the Sun. In an attempt to buy time, he challenges Uryu to a battle while their leader is asleep, encouraging Uryu to urge Ichigo and the others to ascend to the highest level of Welt to defeat Yhwach, while he distracts Haschwalth. It’s worth noting that Haschwalth doesn’t acknowledge the conflict being waged by The Bambies.

Even if I may seem optimistic, your surprise suggests you didn’t anticipate this level of hope in me, correct? It seems that the power you possess isn’t quite omnipotent when it comes to predicting my emotions.

– Uryū Ishida

In a disagreement, Ichigo insists while Uryu remains firm, claiming it’s not as if these moments are his final words, explaining why the episode is titled as such. It’s revealed that the Gate of the Sun is quite ancient, and using a key once possessed by Sōken Ishida, Isshin and Ryūken make their way to the Soul Society. The Bamboo Spirits had believed they would have an easier time if they attacked Yhwach while he slept, but instead, they were wiped out completely by the Quincy King. This means that Uryu’s plan to help Ichigo and the others leave, taking advantage of what was thought to be Yhwach’s vulnerability, proved unsuccessful.

Haschwalth shows no intention of following Ichigo, leading Uryuu to inquire if he can forgo any deception about pursuing them. However, Haschwalth informs Uryuu that his newfound ability to see the future gives him confidence that no action is necessary regarding them. He finds Uryuu’s optimistic outlook surprising, a stark contrast from the character he portrayed as a Sternritter.

Setting Up For the Final Cours

Kira Returns As Part 3 Finishes Strong and Gives Us Weird But Interesting Bonus Material

In a thrilling turn of events, Ichigo, Orihime, and Chad race towards the summit of Welt, where Liltotto and the others precariously hang on to life. Though Yhwach appears to be asleep, his potential danger remains palpable, marking an electrifying close for the third season of the BLEACH anime remake and generating immense anticipation for the forthcoming fourth and final seasons. Simultaneously, Gerard prepares to confront a team of high-ranking Shinigami, while fragments of Lille Barro’s power permeate the environment but are swiftly neutralized in one of the most eagerly awaited instances throughout the arc: the resurrection of Izuru Kira, the 3rd Squad Lieutenant who was among the initial casualties during the Sternritter’s first invasion of Soul Society. Mortal wounds inflicted by Bazz-B’s firepower have left him alive but effectively deceased, and the Visoreds regroup to their full strength, now utilizing their masks. Meanwhile, Yoruichi is left powerless against Nakk Le Vaar.

The final segment of Part 3 was fantastic and concluded the part nicely, but similar to previous seasons, the last episode contained some peculiar bonus material that seemed like an attempt to emulate the “Shinigami Sketchbook,” which used to appear at the end of episodes in the original anime. However, these extras didn’t quite match up to the humor and wit of those sketches. Nevertheless, Nakk Le Vaar was an intriguing choice for a narrator, and he is undoubtedly the character from the Sternritter that fans would most want to interact with. Additionally, he provided some valuable information about Yhwach’s previous army, the top four generals of the Litreich. All in all, BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3 showcased the refined dramatic improvements that have made this anime so well-regarded, giving significant attention to important story moments and providing a wealth of content not found in the manga. The much-anticipated comeback of one of the greatest animes might be 75% complete.
