How to Fix Leaking Oil Pipe in ARC Raiders (Battening Down)

In ARC Raiders, the “Fix Leaking Oil Pipe” objective is part of the Battening Down quest. This requires players to go to the beach area of the Riven Tides map. While the task itself is simple, finding the actual leaking pipe can be challenging because the game doesn’t give you any clues about its location. Plus, the pipe is in an open area, leaving you vulnerable to attacks from enemy raiders while you’re trying to repair it.

How to Fix the Leaking Oil Pipe in ARC Raiders (Battening Down Quest)

To repair the oil leak during the ARC Raiders Battening Down quest, head to the north side of the Riven Tides map, near the beach. Look for the starting point of the two large pipelines heading north – I’ve pinpointed the exact location in the image above.

Once you get past the Stacking Yard, you’ll reach the seawall. Climb over it to get to the beach at Riven Tides. Look carefully at the sand and you’ll see two pipes. This is where you’ll be able to interact and complete the objective to fix the leaking oil pipe in ARC Raiders.

This area is very exposed, and I was attacked repeatedly while trying to complete the task. It’s best to check the area for enemies first. Whether the task is easy or difficult depends on whether you’re playing in a safe or competitive lobby – fixing the oil pipeline will be much easier in a safe lobby.

If you keep running into enemies near the objective, try using a Barricade kit to shield yourself from gunfire.

Once it’s safe, approach the pipe on the left – you’ll see a puddle of oil underneath it. This is the pipe you need to repair, and interacting with it will begin the fixing process. Once the leaky oil pipe is fixed in ARC Raiders, the task will be finished.

If you choose to leave the game or are defeated by an opponent, your current progress will still be saved for the next round.
