Initially, these beings resemble regular lizards, but slaying one opens up an indestructible gateway known as an Infernal Ego portal, which has the power to revive these creatures. Overcoming these creatures requires discerning the origin of their resurrection and eradicating it.

Cursed Revanents Are Invincible

When you defeat a revenant, it leaves behind an Infernal Ego portal which is impervious to any damage type.

If you carefully observe the battlefield, you’ll see that both the Cursed Revenants and their resurrection points—the Infernal Egos—tend to appear on areas ignited by necrofire. Eliminating the necrofire will stop the Infernal Egos from appearing, which in turn prevents the Cursed Revenants from being summoned. However, this task is not simple because necrofire, unlike ordinary fire, cannot be extinguished using Hydrosophist spells like Rain.

How To Remove Necrofire In Divinity: Original Sin 2
