Nintendo has announced a new bundle for the Nintendo Switch 2. Customers who buy it can choose from three of the system’s most popular games. The Switch 2 came out last year in a standard edition for $449, and a bundle with a digital copy of Mario Kart World for $499. That original bundle ended in 2025, and Nintendo has since offered different bundles, including one featuring Pokemon Legends: Z-A.
Starting September 1st, the Nintendo Switch 2 will cost $499 – a price increase similar to those recently announced by PlayStation and Xbox. This change is due to difficult economic conditions, including a global shortage of computer memory, tariffs, and ongoing conflicts. Nintendo previously increased prices on some accessories last year because of U.S. tariffs, but had held off on raising the console’s price itself – until now.
Nintendo Switch 2’s New Bundle Is a Great Deal
A new Nintendo Switch 2 bundle will be available starting in June for $499. When you buy it, you can choose a digital download of one of three popular games: Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, or Pokemon Pokopia. These games are exclusive to the Switch 2 and can’t be played on the older model. While two of these titles have been out for almost a year, Pokemon Pokopia, released in February, has quickly become a hit, selling over 4 million copies. This success has made it one of the system’s best-selling games, even outselling titles like Kirby Air Riders and Pokemon Legends: Z-A.

This Switch 2 bundle is the best value we’ve seen so far. If you choose the bundle with Mario Kart World, you’ll save around $30, as that game usually costs $80. The Donkey Kong Bananza and Pokemon Pokopia bundles offer smaller savings, at around $10. Some players might prefer having a different type of game, like a 3D platformer or a sandbox game, instead of Mario Kart, and this new bundle gives them that option. It’s a much more flexible choice than any of the previous bundles.
This package is a good chance for anyone thinking of buying a Switch 2 before the price potentially increases. Nintendo is aiming to make the Switch 2 more appealing by releasing a lot of great games for it, according to company president Shuntaro Furukawa. They already have at least three exclusive games planned for release before the end of July, and while the rest of 2026 isn’t as clear, there’s a lot to look forward to—especially with rumors of a Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake coming this year.

Nintendo hasn’t shared many details about the upcoming bundle, but we should learn more as June gets closer. If you’re thinking of buying a Switch 2 before the price increases, it’s worth waiting a little longer to take advantage of the deal and get one of the system’s top games for less.
