  • Gaban Slew Hundreds Of Pirates With Ease

For several years now, readers have been acquainted with the character named Scopper Gaban. He made his first appearance in chapter 19 of “One Piece,” but was officially identified in the Blue Deep data book. It wasn’t until Strong World that we truly saw Gaban in action. A special chapter was created by Oda for this occasion, where we witnessed Scopper Gaban engaged in a battle alongside Roger and Rayleigh, along with the rest of the Roger Pirates, on board the Oro Jackson. This moment made it incredibly memorable. After the timeskip in the storyline, fans were given another opportunity to catch a glimpse of the Roger Pirates through the character of Oden. This time, we saw more of the crew, and Oda further enriched every recollection of the group, including Scopper Gaban.

He’s the man who stood on par with Roger and Rayleigh, Scopper Gaban! — Oimo and Kashi

In the land of Elbaf, it came to light that Scopper Gaban, a former pirate who served as the right-hand man on the Pirate King’s ship, resided there and was known for being a fearsome pirate, even stronger than the Giants of Elbaf. Moreover, he was rumored to be a force to be reckoned with, comparable in power to Silvers Rayleigh and Roger. This revelation was astounding for his character. It was also mentioned that one time, Roger required medical attention and Gaban transported him to a mountain hospital. The news spread quickly, attracting all of Roger’s adversaries. On that day, with just his two axes, Gaban fought off hundreds of pirates and annihilated them all. By the end, the mountainside appeared barren, as if he had consumed it entirely. This is what earned him the moniker “Mountain Eater.

Indeed, it remained a mystery among the spectators as to what Gaban’s true fighting abilities were. However, that enigma was finally lifted when One Piece chapter 1140 was released.

It’s important to note that since we haven’t seen much of Gaban’s combat abilities, fans are unsure of his true potential. However, the brief glimpse we got in One Piece chapter 1140 was so immense that it surpasses anything fans could have possibly imagined for him.

Gaban Shows A Glimpse Of His Strength In Elbaf

In the 1140th chapter of One Piece, Scopper Gaban’s remarkable strength was on full display. The previous chapter had hinted at Luffy and Zoro’s desire for the key to Loki’s chains. However, when they were ready to claim it, Scopper Gaban didn’t make it a walk in the park. Instead, he proposed a challenge: they had to seize the key from him. This brief skirmish certainly met expectations. In this chapter, we saw Scopper Gaban engaging playfully with Luffy. Despite Luffy growing more serious about retrieving the key, Gaban was seen deftly evading him, even when the Yonko was at his most determined.

Gaban’s Conqueror’s Haki

Upon Luffy’s newfound seriousness, Scopper Gaban followed suit, escalating his performance. The first jaw-dropping instant arrived when Gaban demonstratively exhibited his Conqueror’s Haki Infusion. With the key in hand, he subtly imbued it with his Conqueror’s Haki – a fact evident by the path of lightning that trailed behind.

Later, he proceeded to strike Luffy using the key and collided forcefully with him, causing intense electrical sparks to erupt from the key. The ominous black electricity, accompanied by a buzzing sound, clearly signaled that Conqueror’s Haki was activated, as Gaban is known to possess this ability.

Gaban’s Incredible Axemanship

If Gaban’s prowess as a Conqueror’s Haki user isn’t convincing enough of his immense fighting ability, fans should also take note of his exceptional skill with axes. In One Piece chapter 1130, we saw a brief display of Gaban’s axemanship, a moment when he was truly serious. Wielding his axes with incredible power, he unleashed a barrage of flying axe strikes that decimated a significant portion of the Aurust Castle. To put this into perspective, Road’s Diorama was the size of an entire city, and this castle room was much larger. Gaban’s attack took down an entire tower, suggesting it had the power to obliterate an island at minimum. Remarkably, he performed all this without using his Haki, and even Zoro and Luffy acknowledged they would not have survived had they not acted swiftly. Clearly, Gaban’s stronger attacks operate on a completely different scale.

How Strong Is Scopper Gaban Truly?

Scopper Gaban Is Easily Yonko Level

Currently, it’s not surprising that Scopper Gaban is considered a Yonko-level character. Even in his old age, he’s renowned as a legend, possessing an incredibly powerful strength. However, compared to characters like Shanks or Blackbeard, his strength may have diminished due to age. Nevertheless, when we consider his prime years, Gaban should undoubtedly be placed in the same tier as the strongest figures in the One Piece world, such as Garp, Roger, Whitebeard, and Rayleigh. In comparison to the current Yonko, it’s clear that Gaban would have been on par with them during his peak years.

Sadly, Gaban is no longer participating in the battle alongside Luffy and Zoro for now, yet enthusiasts can only cross their fingers that he re-enters the fray when the Holy Knights intervene. If that happens, things in Elbaf will become even more thrilling!
