Call of Duty: Mobile is adding Homelander, Starlight, and Black Noir in Season 5: Revenge. While the newly announced content drop will mark the first crossover between The Boys and Call of Duty: Mobile, Activision’s wider franchise has already hosted several similar promotions tied to the show.
The Boys officially ended with “Blood and Bone,” the eighth episode of its fifth season, which premiered on May 20. While fan reactions to the finale appear mixed, the series had a major cultural impact in the seven years since its summer 2019 debut. Among other things, The Boys has been at the center of several Call of Duty promotions, the latest of which has just been announced.
Call of Duty: Mobile Reveals Its First ‘The Boys’ Collab
The crossover is tied to the next Call of Duty: Mobile season, which is scheduled to kick off on May 27. Called Season 5: Revenge, the content drop centers on The Boys, adding two themed modes, a dedicated faction event, and three Operator Draws based on some of the most recognizable characters from the hit satire show: Homelander, Starlight, and Black Noir. It remains unconfirmed whether the new characters will have custom executions. In keeping with its usual seasonal cadence, developer TiMi Studios is also using the update to introduce a broader slate of content, including a returning Duel event, a new battle royale variant, and additional progression rewards.
On the multiplayer side, the crossover introduces “Supe’d Up Attack of the Undead,” a The Boys-themed twist on one of Call of Duty: Mobile‘s existing Zombies modes, Super Attack of the Undead. It functions as an infected-style party experience, with one player chosen at random to become infected while the rest try to hold out against growing hordes of undead enemies, and that cycle repeating until only one human remains. As its name suggests, this version adds Supes to the formula. The last survivor will gain a character-specific power, giving them a distinct endgame role and ensuring the crossover mode plays like something a bit more memorable than a simple reskin.
All Call of Duty x The Boys Crossovers So Far
- July 2023: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone (Season 4 Reloaded)
- January 2024: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone (Season 1 Reloaded)
- May 2024: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone (Season 4)
- May 2026: Call of Duty Mobile (Season 5: Revenge)
The battle royale experience that has been in Call of Duty: Mobile since its critically acclaimed debut is also getting its own themed twist as part of The Boys crossover. Called “Vought Royale,” the mode sends players across the Isolated map in search of Temp V, with each pickup granting one of four random superpowers: Laser Vision, Electric Shockwave, Charge Jump, or Teleport. Outside the licensed event, Season 5 adds Armored Royale, a squad-based battle royale offering in which each team spawns with a personal armored vehicle that also functions as a respawn point.
Call of Duty: Mobile Season 5 will launch on May 27 at 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET. Based on the game’s typical content roadmap, the season will likely run for about a month before the next major update arrives by early July 2026.
Call of Duty: Mobile Season 5 – Revenge Patch Notes
The Final Survivor — All Supe’d Up
In a last-ditch effort to fight off the horde, the final survivor of the match will activate their powers, designated by their assigned Supe:
- Starlight: Emits a shockwave that slows zombies caught in her radius.
- Black Noir: Draws a deadly katana, acquiring extra movement speed with each elimination.
- Homelander: Hovers and can attack foes by shooting lasers from his eyes while managing an overheat meter.
The Boys BR — Vought Royale
Vought International’s proprietary blend of Temp V is showing up in deliveries across Isolated. Operators who nab a dose of the highly unstable substance will be granted one of four random superpowers, consumed upon activation. The earnable powers include:
- Charge Jump: Bound through the map with the gravity-defying Charge Jump, allowing you to cover great distances with the press of a button while granting immunity to the fall damage you’d normally take when descending from such a height. As an added benefit, deal damage in a radius where you land, encouraging offensive tactics that take you right into the fight.
- Laser Vision: Levitate and fire laser beams from your eyes, damaging enemies caught in the crosshairs.
- Electric Shockwave: Release an electrical pulse that emits from the Operator, dealing shock damage to enemies caught in the radius while additionally disabling vehicles and equipment.
- Blink: Mark your destination and instantly teleport there. A great advantage when attacking and retreating, disorienting the enemy as they attempt to pinpoint your new position.
New Battle Royale Mode: Armored Royale
Engage in vehicular combat in this squad-based modes where players spawn near their own personal armored vehicle. Keeping your vehicle in good shape is critical, as it also serves as the player’s spawn point. Complete objectives to earn cash that can be used to upgrade your vehicle and seek out repair stations around the map to heal damage.
If you’re eliminated while your vehicle is still intact, your Operator will respawn after a short cooldown. If your vehicle has been destroyed, it’s off to the Buy Station to purchase a redeploy marker.
The last team standing wins.
